Grond is coming

Well I have ordered Grond now and set my sights on ToE so listed my original Thranduil on the bay! One thing I noticed is that my Weta Dollar status changed when order placed. I dropped from Gold to Silver and did not get any WD''s on preorder.

The new helms and 1/30 figures helped me stay at gold status. Thankfully I was able to get all Weta dollars on my Grond po.

Still, expected it to go a bit slower at $750! One of the rare times I would have been ok with a smaller piece if the price was a good bit less.

They only charge a deposit now, so you have a while to save up.

Yeah, even with more lead time ... $750 is just too much for me to justify spending on a single collectible. Even one as cool as this. Too rich for my blood. It's sad, but I think the hobby is starting to price me out.

I hear you, I wanted to wait it out till maybe black Friday and get a better deal, but this will be long sold out by then.

No, processing starts on the 21st. Wetas west coast warehouse will get it to SoCal in a couple of days.

Same size base as Barad-dûr and Rivendell I think.
