* Animated in CGI
* Set for Fourth Quarter 2011. If true, this matches how Batman: The Brave and The Bold debuted in a November, as well.
* Insider saw five minutes of footage of Hal Jordan in space.
* If true, more serious in tone than Batman: The Brave and The Bold.
From NYCC:
- TV Guide provided the first look at Green Lantern: The Animated Series with the teaser poster.
- Geoff Johns says as of right now he won't be writing any of the stories for the Green Lantern animated series coming up in 2011. Johns: "Not yet. I need to sleep." Confirms Bruce Timm's style for Green Lantern: The Animated Series
- WB Animation held a panel for GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES. Producer Bruce Timm says the show won't have many Earth adventures. Strictly Sci-fi.
- No Voice Cast members were announced in New York, though earlier in the week Robert Englund(Nightmare on Elm Street) let slip of his involvement.
- Red Lanterns were not only confirmed for the show, but were announced to be the first villains we'll meet! "Wait and see" response on Dex-Starr's involvement.
- A couple of new characters will appear(specifically mentioned a female lantern named Aya). But mostly the Lanterns we love. Hal Jordan, Carol Ferris, Kilowog, Ganthet and the Guardians, Salaak and Atrocitus.
- Hal steals a lantern "vehicle" to get to Red Lantern frontier location.
- GREEN LANTERN: The Animated Series will be separate from everything else. "No Batman or Wonder Woman" cameos. Sinestro won't be a main player early on, but he will show up later.
- Jim Krieg says not to expect another retelling of Hal's origin, while Bruce Timm says he hopes GREEN LANTERN: The Animated Series is on air long enough to do BLACKEST NIGHT
- In a production clip shown, Oa was shown with highlight divisions similar to TRON. Bruce Timm loves Kilowog, and says the series was partly inspired by Disney's THE INCREDIBLES
- The series will feature death, but is still catered to an younger audience. Another clip shown featured Hal and Kilowog fighting off what seemed like Manhunters.
- Check out some concept designs/art for GREEN LANTERN: The Animated Series, including Red Lanterns, Guardians and more! Here: https://geeksofdoom.com/2010/10/10/...nimated-series-first-impressions-concept-art/
- The Green Lantern constructs will be comic inspired, but personality based for the animated series.
- The Green Lantern movie's success/failure should have no bearing on the GL:Animated Series. While Green Lanterns Hal Jordan AND John Stewart both confirmed to appear in YOUNG JUSTICE cartoon
