Get deposit back if item returned due to damage?

i haven't sent anything back to SS for a very long time. way before they implemented the deposit structure. so was just curious: if item is received from SS with damage, and sent back for refund, do you get the deposit refunded as well? i'd think so since it seems to be a standard practice elsewhere, but was curious. oh and do you still get shipping refunded as well? it used to be that way.

I would rather have my award points back if I returned the statue due to QC or damage issues.

If you receive an item that comes flawed and you opt to return it without going the replacement route, then yes you will get your NRD refunded as well. I have done so twice.
They send you an email asking you if you would like to apply it to item you have on order, to a new order, or refunded back to the credit card.
