Still need to paint the gauntlets...

Awesome picture there Maglor! I've been tempted to gloss my gauntlets up. I haven't been able to find Winsor & Newton Galleria Satin Varnish that Rorywan used. But I saw this at Michael's and was wondering if this was an ok alternative?

I've been wanting to ask this for a while.
Can anyone here post a pic of the accessories they described as batman claw?
I want to know if it has spikes or some sort like on the promo shot

You mean the pneumatic mangler?

Grapple holsters on the wrong side! :panic:

Nah, that's a fantastic pic and pose. It looks so clean and polished too. In a lot of pics it seems like there's quite a few blemishes on the actual figure, or atleast dust or some other particles. There? Completely clean. It actually looks fine without the gloss on the gauntlets, I sort of like the matte finish they have in relation to the suit, belt, cowl, etc.

No digital cleanup either. It's all about the air duster. :lecture

I thought this was a happy medium for quoting a pic so soon..:lol :hi5:

Looks great! I still prefer this by the slimmest of margins over the QS001...the paint app on the faceplate is a more realistic and natural fleshtone.

Plus, it's the Begins suit. Win.

Can't wait to be able to make the call for myself.

One of the best pics of a collectible I've seen mags!

Wow, thanks.

Rory's gauntlets are perfect. Remy posted the product that he used a while back. I hope I bookmarked the page...

The best and simplest way to get a glossy surface is to use "Pledge w/ Future Shine" (used to polish floors), it is known as "Klear" in European countries:

PledgeFutureShine-142x300_zps45d958ae.jpg

It is a very durable acrylic varnish that has been used by scale modelers for years as a gloss varnish or to make clear parts shine.
It is very easy to apply, you can brush it on, it has a self leveling quality that will provide a nice even finish.
You can also dip the gauntlets in it, getting rid of the excess varnish on a paper towel.
If you want you can also airbrush it.
It dries very quickly and one night should be enough for it to fully cure.
If you mess up just drop the gauntlets in "Windex" for ten minutes, the ammonia in the "windex" will get rid of the Pledge/Future without damaging the part.
You can do this as many times as you want until you get it right.

Wow, thanks for the insight Tourist! I had no idea modelers were using it for years. As soon as I read that I was skeptical, but after looking into it further, it's true. :lol

I'll definitely test it out on some scrap plastic to see how glossy it gets. From what I've read, 2 coats should do it and wicking the excess with a paper towel?

Thanks again for the tip Tourist! :hi5:

Thanks for the leg work bicoid!:hi5:

I just realized that you actually mentioned the product in this post already:

This is what happens when I skim over threads. :slap:lol

Anyway, that looks like an interesting product, but I'm inclined to stick to the key words "satin" and "varnish".

Maybe something like this? [ame]https://www.amazon.com/Liquitex-Professional-Satin-Varnish-8-oz/dp/B001US6NPM[/ame]

I did it mate :/. Dont know how can i do it more

You have to add length to the belt. There is a mod for it in this thread somewhere. You basically use a wire to extend and attach the belt in back.

Also, you may want to reposition the magnets so that the cape clips don't sit on top of the cowl like that.
