I walked out of the cinema feeling like it was a fairly enjoyable movie. But after reflecting deeper on how this episode sits within the larger star Wars lore and universe, I think it is actually pretty crap.

If Disney really wants to hit the reset button, they should commit. Don't half a55 it and say you want to make a Han Solo movie. Wtf would you make a han Solo movie? You just killed off the guy in episode 8 to try to get the series to move forward and then you plan to make a movie about that character? How is that moving on?

It's like they want to pander to the old time Star Wars fans and crap on them at the same time In the name of moving forward.

I feel like one of my big problems with TLJ is the loss of the 'sense of adventure' that Star Wars usually has. The only sequence that carries a traditional adventure storyline is the mission to the Casino planet, which is riddled with problems, feeling at once rushed, preachy and pointless.

Yes, it definitely lost that aspect too.
