I think the leaning problem is greatly exaggerated. Yes, there are examples, but I bet 99% have no leaning issues at all.

According to Sideshow both Freaks and SF only make up like 3% of their customer base, so there's really no way to tell what percentage it is based on posts in these forums..
But just for fun

I don't remember the exact Edition Size but say 8000, so if we make up 3% of buyers then we 240 of them, that's if every member bought one. I've see around 12 leaning status, so based on that the lean rate is about 5% based on 3% sample size

Never say never buddy

Nope, my ideal Superman. Wouldn't change a thing about it. Just think they executed this perfectly.

I don't have any lean either, and this has been on display since it came out. The pad on the cape side did wear down quickly though, so I doubled that up. No issues.

Nice one buddy =)

I'll jump in. I used to think this was overblown and thought it was solely a padding issue. I even applied the hard 3M pads underneath because the SS pads did get smashed. I look at my Supes daily and am convinced now that he leans a bit. Temp is set and maintained year-round, no windows.

I don't have any photo editing skills to put these side by side but here are pics from 1st batch release, followed by current pics.

I just put my sculpted cape on and it leans a bit but doesn't bother me. One day I will make a little shim out of aluminum (from a can of soda) and attach it to the back foot peg to keep it from leaning.

Yes..you have a lean and it is NOT the padding issue. Putting on better pads helps a little. If you hold the base I bet you can push superman to your left (his right) and you will see the back foot lean in it's peg slot. The slot is too big for the peg allowing it to lean over. I fixed it once by wrapping the peg in electrical tape but then had trouple replicating the solution because everytime I tried to put the peg in the tape would bunch up at the top. I think a little aluminum wedge attached to the right side of ped (when facing) would help.

Hey BDogg, if you look at the gap underneath the base, does it look uniform or is one side higher? If you remove the cape, is there some play around feet where it pegs into the base? It it's the latter, you could use the aforementioned earthquake putty under the foot / in and the around keyed area.

Thanks for the interest, guys! My base is even side to side and front to back. When he's in the base and with cape still on, there isn't much wiggle room in the slot. I'll have to try later without cape to see if it makes a difference. This is unfortunate as this was the definitive, iconic Superman for me.

Sorry to hear. The cape should act as a counterbalance so maybe it's the body and how the torso is connected?

Whatever the case, it's probably best to store the polystone cape in the box and pick up one of Dynamic Dan's capes. I still have my Supes displayed with it. It really pairs well with the fabric costume. Or you could see how the P1 Jim Lee Superman turns out as well.

How does earthquake putty work? Do u shove it in the peg hole and then insert the peg and let it set? Can the peg be removed if this is the correct method?
