Dammmm! I have their U2 Pilot on pre-order from Cotswold and feel fortunate after skipping out on the BBI release at a local store for $35. Since it seems they've taken the ball from BBI with this theme, I hope they'd consider the silver flight suit that Sam Shepard wore as Chuck Yeager in the climax of the Right Stuff, maybe even a 2nd "weathered" version :

That's another beautiful figure. I hope these do well and we see Mercury and Gemini spacesuits.

This one and the flight engineer are very nice. I generally don't pick up these types of generic sculpts, but the flight suits are fantastic. I'll have to see what they go for. The Tommy Lee Jones and Donald Sutherland-influenced head sculpts are also really nicely detailed, however they do seem a little old for astronauts (Space Cowboys?). However would likely display with helmets on or swap out the portraits.

I would buy just about anything from The Right Stuff, including a 1/6 X-1. Been trying to figure out a custom solution for these guys but can't find the right stuff. Ahem.

I have BBI's U2 Pilot and love the theme enough that I was thinking of picking up the Dam version but the SR-71 is a must buy!

That's exactly what I thought when I saw this. The detailing on these is way better.

Does anyone have any experience with the quality of these Damtoys figures? I'm loving the price on these figures and the pics I've seen look fantastic but I'm not familiar with the Damtoys brand and was hoping to get a little insight about the quality/durability of the figures. I found one thread comparing Soldier Story vs Damtoys and most of the posts were positive. Anybody care to chime in?

Quality is good. Straight up museum poses are the norm (for me) for pilot figures, especially for these SR-71 pilots. So the body issue shouldn't come into play... (I hope...)

articulation may not be an issue, but body wise, some bodies just don't look natural even in museum pose.

DAM bodies are good enough though.
