Oh and here is a pattern I made and used for my pack.

What I did is I cut that template on to vinyl, put it on .030 plastic sheet and then trimmed it away with scissors. I wrapped mine with flat black vinyl, but I'm sure you could paint it. The 2 small square slots give it a look and also let me drill 2 holes in the body as my pack is held to the body with screws. Might switch it over to magnets sometime.
