Could someone explain the "Sideshow mandated destroy for replacement" ? Are you suppose to mail all the broken parts back to sideshow for proof? Why not just send them the product as it is, whats the logic behind this?

Usually they do it for things like statues that would be expensive to send back (especially if you live overseas), so they just ask for a picture of the damaged item destroyed. That way, you can't get a replacement and then sell the original damaged item to someone else. Of course it depends on the item, but I guess in many cases it works out to be cheaper for them to have you destroy the item than to pay for return shipping. Kind of makes you wonder what the raw cost of some of these things is (of course that doesn't include things like the design or licensing costs, but still).
