I'm starting to build my movie library on Bluray, besides the ones made by PIXAR, 300 movie, etc. What other titles can you recommend to be in one's collection. Base on how good they look on blu and special features. Titles worth the buck.

Thanks for all the reply

Currently the ones in my collections are:
BSG complete series
Iron man
300
T2 judgent day
Dark knight
Bolt

I thought Valkyrie was a great movie which looked stunning on blu ray

Pirates of the Caribbean (Trilogy) and Harry Potter (all titles). They look phenomenal on Blu-Ray.

Just think of films that have great special effects. Animation movies also look great on BluRay. Just some off the top of my head that I've seen Blu-Ray

Iron Man
Wall-E, Ratatouille...all those animated films look AMAZING
Planet Earth...while not a film, it's amazing to see our planet on Blu-Ray
Dark City

Casino Royale. The different locales look absolutely fantastic.

I'd have to second this Casino Royale looks absolutely stunning on Blu Ray. Another i'd recommend and its not a huge action film, sci fi or horror and the special effects are limted....least by most standards is Into the Blue, it's an aquired taste type of movie but it looks stunning on Blu Ray as well.

Planet Earth gets my highest recommendation -- but there are some parts that were not filmed in HD (they are VERY obviously so, some extremely deep shots in the ocean, and dark scenes in caves).

Wall-E looks great too, as do most Disney films, Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian was amazing.

Dark Knight was/is visually stunning but the audio is a bit of a mess; the lows are mixed way too strong.

I go to https://www.blu-ray.com/ and read the reviews for the "video" transfer. If its good or great I buy, and I stay away from the bad reviews. I also been buying Blurays from Amazon from other sellers, picked up some blurays cheap, and no problems yet.

All great selections

Some of my favorite for PQ/AQ only... not content:

Cars
Wall-E
Pirates - CotBP
Spidey Trilogy
Blade Runner
Wanted

Just to name a few. :)

Wall-E
Sleeping Beauty
Pirates of the Caribbean
Harry Potter
Dinosaur
Wanted
Watchmen
The Dark Knight

When Moulin Rouge is released (has been on the "Coming Soon" high def reel at Best Buy for over a year now) be sure to get it, as well. The DVD was fantastic, I can only imagine how amazing the blu-ray will be. The colors, songs, and characters are unforgettable.

A lot of people have already mentioned these, but they are fantastic in Blu-Ray:

The Dark Knight
Iron Man
Casino Royale
The Prestige
Sleeping Beauty
Pinochio

And a sleeper...Speed Racer. Looks FANTASTIC on a 1080p TV.

T2 IS UNREAL.
I have only watched it once and I own it....
I watched it at my cousins because I don't have a blu ray player..
yea, its that good.
