Custom 1/6 scale Yak Face Question: The original character wore brownish fur but looked gray in some dark pics. Do you think the gray is good contrast and looks ok or do you think I should rework it with the brown fur shown in the picture?

That guy in the back is 'lak'ing some clothing me thinks. :wink1:

Yak looks freaking awesome dude. Top notch. :clap

Yak looks great man. If I had to pick, I think.I prefer brown. I dunno, maybe because of the Kenner figure. In my minds eye, it was always brown.

Yep, I keep looking at the Kenner Power of the Force figures also. My brown fur just arrived yesterday. yeah, I need to try the brown fur options.

Thanks again. :)

Quick question about Yak Face....did you do anything to the fur/hair to make it "clump" on the ears? Just curious if you dampened it with anything. It looks great.

Glad to help. :hi5:

Yes, I thinned Scenic glue with water. Although I applied it to the base of the fur clumps only, it wicks up the fur a bit. After it dries, I wet it again and shape the areas.

Although Fabri-Tac grabs and dries faster, it is glossier that the matte Scenic glue.

You know I looked at the Kenner ears, too for ideas. Some of the reference pics I found showed furry bits on the hands also. I tried to duplicate it.

Thank you.

Here is my attempt at a 1/6 scale custom bash of a Shistavanen like Lak Sivrak. Thanks to Jessica for the resin head.

I am not 100% happy with my work on this one. :monkey4

Thank you. :) No, but I wish I could sculpt like some of the artist here.

I used parts of the Horizon Bram Stoker's Dracula Wolf vinyl model kit. I heated and reshaped the parts.

Thats looking good so far. There isn't much out there for reference, so nice work on the outfit. Tough character to do.

Thank you.

Yep, That is the Sideshow Cobra ninja tunic. I removed the Cobra symbol with acetone and scrubbing.

It was tempting to use Jedi clothing. The Anakin dark theme was a great idea that I found inspirational (Thanks Spudtrooper).

I liked the bright red in this artwork.

It does feel like it needs something else... maybe more weathered tunic... or sandy feet... mmm...
