After being on this board for about 4 years, I'm finally taking the time to post pictures of my collection.

I started collecting Sideshow Weta in April '04. The majority was collected in '05-'07. Added Stone Trolls and No Admittance Bookends in 2008. Cave Troll statue and Moria Orc Archer in 2009. At this point I am only missing one statue out of the entire line of SSW (if you don't count the 3 lithos and Gandalf the Bronze): The Watcher in the Water statue. Last one for a complete SSW collection!

For those who watched the Sideshow Short Films from 2004, you may recognize the place from one of the short films. :) I only had 12 SSW pieces at that time!

What you see in this post is the height of the collection (as in most pieces crammed/displayed into my apartment at the same time). I also have mugs, glasses, board games, incense (!) and a bunch of Toybiz stuff I got as gifts...

I have all 16 Medallions but no space to display them, so only the first two are on display.

Balrog Votive Holder and two incense burners. The Noble Collection Fellbeast I regret buying, not what I expected, way too expensive for what it is.

In the background is the complete trilogy set of Kinder-Egg LOTR figures, only available in Europe. Missing Treebeard, now that I look at them again.

The environments are my favorites. If I ever downsize the collection one day (only after getting the last remaining piece!), I think I will keep all environments at minimum. I've placed the environments in 'chronological' order (except Orthanc and Minas Tirith, I couldn't fit them on top of the bookshelf. I mean the Danbury Minas Tirith... )

Yes, that's Hadhafang hidden in the background, Elrond's and later Arwen's sword.

I really like how Gandalf and Frodo display together (also saves on space ) Oh yeah, you can see also two licensed LOTR watches on the base.

The One Ring around Gollum's neck (gold-plated).

Custom-made WitchKing ring. Real Silver. Oh and those little black slivers of paper underneath the base of the ring? Those were the 'flying ashes' from the Balrog in the LOTR musical (which I saw 4 times).

When I was running out of display space, a friend suggested putting up a shelf above the TV. I put up three. :D (Fellowship shelf, Mordor shelf and this 'Elves' shelf)

1/29 scale lead figures from Eaglemoss. I have the first 51 on display and have also 52-103 but no space (yet, details further down). Right now that collection is up to 150 or so and I plan on getting a complete set at some point.

Yes, I was very happy when Sideshow announced a 12" Faramir as there is no Faramir whatsoever in the SSW line.

At some point it occurred to me that there was some display possibilities in here too! The Chewbacca is my earliest possession I still own, got it for my 6th birthday. I still remember losing one cartridge on a plane and cried when my mother wouldn't let me go back to look for it!

That's a custom Witchking mask, molded from my face (yeah, yeah, you know what I mean... )

The above post depicts the height of the collection. I bought a house in 2008 but then decided I wanted to keep my downtown apartment (long story, never mind). Since I took these pictures, I boxed about half of the collection and moved them to my house, where they remain in storage. That created some space for me to add these beauties...

I'm so glad I got this piece! First time I experienced the whole "item sold out within minutes!" And this piece was sold out within 75 seconds or something like that!

As I packed up half of the collection (hey I know it was VERY densely packed!), I replaced the FOTR busts with the FOTR statues...

Man, the detail on the Numenorean Soldier is sick! My favorite bust.

Someone should use a dremel and get that headgear on Isildur!

Me in full Witchking regalia. Everything made from scratch, except the UC sword. Took me 90 mins to get ready, with the eye contacts, make up, different layers of clothing (shirt, vest, frock, mantle), belt, scabbard, mask and wig, nails, crown. Not very mobile. At all. But that forced me to move slowly and ghostlike. :)

A lot more fun on Halloween to be Jack Sparrow. :D Still takes an hour plus to get everything together but I can actually talk to people all night long. And don't have to drink through a straw. LOL

And that's it for now!

Your LOTR collection is impressive. Congrats Beren.

PS: I love your Jack Sparrow costume.

Fantastic collection...I heartily approve :rock

The Numernereon bust is my fave as well! :duff

Now that is a LOTR collection! :bow

That is an absolutely awesome idea about displaying the environments chronologically. I never bought any of the old environments but am going to be a completest most likely with the new weta line and will follow your lead on display.

What an EPIC LOTR collection :bow :bow

Awesome stuff, Beren :clap

I have that same poster on my door..its nice :D

that witchking costume is GREAT
