I'd be ok with 4:3 of course. Just sayin' that's the only thing they could do to make it better.

I’m kind of curious what the extent of the restoration will actually be. Will it just be some marginal half-assed upconversion or is this their way of future proofing the property as we start to evolve past Blu-Ray, even, and into Ultra HD and beyond. I mean, looking at the ‘66 series and the 4K remasters they did, it makes me think they may be taking the same approach to this. Even the announcement seems to echo the ‘66 announcement as offhand, but official confirmation that it’s coming (the Conan tweet/this panel remark), the fact that it’s still a ways off and that an official press release won’t be coming for several months, etc. I’m staying optimistic about this one, and, hopefully, they deliver something really special for this show. This is, like, the best kind of surprise, as I was, in all honesty, completely content with my DVD set and pretty much figured this would never ever happen.

How was the quality of the 66 set? If anything, this was created on a budget, or at least wasn't intended to be viewed on anything than old CRT TVs so I won't expect the quality of the 66 series. Even say, the 1986 Transformers movie on blu ray still had dust and dirt despite the extensive restoration work.

Could they do the widescreen transfer, though, or will this be another ‘66 situation where they keep the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio? I mean, do the resources even exist for a widescreen transfer?

That would be unlikely, and unfortunate if they did so. Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, MOTP and the first two seasons of Justice League were in 4:3 Academy Ratio on blu ray, so I doubt they would be in widescreen unless they butcher it by doing a pan and scan.

The ‘66 set is ****ing beautiful and they did an amazing job on it. It’s still in 4:3, but they did a full 4K remaster of the show and the colors and resolution really made it feel like you were watching it for the very first time.

I want to see a ton of extras with these blu Ray sets including the lost episode I saw on YouTube. I think they should gather every actor and actress that guest starred as a voice for character and interview them and include it in the extras.

I would love to see what these people look like Ivy, Robin, Thorne, Montoya, Croc, Mavis, you get my point

Over 20k of the 30k deluxe set has been sold, so I pre-order it for the ease of mind. Anyone for slightly used, now completely devalued, a mint condition DVD set? :lol

So if this is the Deluxe Limited Edition, will there be a regular edition? I hate those Funkos.

I'm not a fan of the Funkos but one of my brothers is. I bet there will be a regular set after this one comes out. Maybe they will take out the movies sine they are already available through the warner website. I ordered this set because it is still my favorite version of Batman.
