Also I notice you painted your wheels black? That looks so much better and more SA. What did you do to accomplish that? I am not good with painting etc.

I protected the whole car, made a safe and protected access to the wheels. I painted the rims first with Tamiya TS 29 (semi gloss black), then protected the rims and sprayed the sidewalks of the tires ( in hard plastic too shiny IMO) in TS 82 ( mat rubber black) to give them more realism.
Then painted the hubcaps in silver with a little brush.

The rims look so much better black. I had this car for 6+ years and after building the LEGO version the black wheels say Batman to me. Thanks for the paint tip.

In the movie, even if it suppose to be grey, the rims often appear dark or black. I’m almost certain that for a few shots, they painted the rims black:



Pity that HT made the stock rims too light. But anyway still a fantastic piece, even stock.

Pretty sure the rims in the movie were grey, but only appeared black, due to the fact that you would always see the Batmobile at night.....

need some help guys...anyone know hot to fix the scratches on the canopy?

wet sand with a super fine grit sandpaper, I'm mean like 2000 grit or higher. If you have an airbrush you can get some model air black and do a light spray in the area with the scratches then lightly buff with a rag.

to add on to that ^ you can take apart the batmobile and take apart the canopy for better application of sanding process, believe it or not, it?s easy.

Has anyone considered giving the Batmobile a more accurate canopy? The shape of the windows and the narrorwer vertical bridge gap are more accurate on the prototype that was used for the promo and packaging images than the final product (for whatever reason). It's IMO the only thing (apart from the silver rims) that I wish was different.
