I was wondering if any one of you has any experience making dust/dirt effects on figures, using modelling pigments? Specifically how do you make sure the pigments (which normally are quite fragile) stay on the figure and don't get smudged when the figure is handled.
I have experience affixing pigments on small scale wargaming figures using varnishes and pigment-fixing fluids, but I don't think those will be enough in 1/6 scale, especially with all the heavy handling that comes with repositioning the figure or changing accesories.
