Oh no! I almost never used my flash when taking pictures. I have a very nice point and shoot with a lot of manual options to allow for low light pictures.

Oh yes! The first couple times I took him out, there were no people around. But I got a lot of weird weird looks when we were at the sphinx. The tour group we were with later on got used to it, and just laughed when I took him out for pictures.
