Yeah, prices are getting higher and higher in a very short time it seems. You figure it would level out for a period of time before the prices started to rise again. I paid $227 plus shipping for the 89 Batman last year. I'm curious to see what the Returns Batman will be when that comes out. Of course they may add a Wayne sculpt so that will be the excuse to sell it for $270 plus.

Seems to me that the average figure price jumped close to 50% in the past year/yeah and a half. When I first started collecting, most figures were $130-$150. Now it seems the basic MMS figure is $215 out the gate, but with most being either DX or Iron Man armors, they seem to be going even higher.

At this point I'm in to finish my Avengers/Phase 1 line up, and then I'll just stick with the 1 or 2 iconic characters they release per year after that. I won't be collecting the new movie properties like I had in the past with Nolan Bats/Marvel stuff - too expensive.

Found this brief video on youtube today and it made me wonder, how many celebrity's actually own there figures of them selfs. Would you want a mini me of yourself?

Over the years; probably more than who would admit it. I remember from a magazine article years ago about an actor (can't remember the name) that was talking about their kids having and playing with action figures of themselves (the parent).

The Good The Bad And The Robots is another great seller in the UK.

Don't use Forbidden Planet unless it's your last resort

Yeah Forbidden Planet are rubbish.

Modelzone, Mothers basement, The Good The Bad and the Robots and Fanboycollectables are all very good sellers I think.

Is there a video on how Hot Toys figures are made? All I've ever seen are half painted shots, but how do they make em'?

Hugh Jackman has talked about this in interviews, his kid having a talking doll of himself:

The toy he likes the most is about a foot and a half tall and says things like "I'll slice you in half" and he takes it to bed. I'll be in the other room and it goes off in the middle of the night. So he's getting these subliminal messages: "This kid will take you down" and "I'll slice you in half" he kisses and hugs it. I can see years of therapy coming my way

There's a documentary on the making of "The Expendables" and Stallone had a few Rambo Hot Toys in his office.
