I didn't quite understand what was going on with the eyes. He waved the staff behind them and they glowed? Or was it just light shining through? Not sure I see the good in that, since it would only work if the mask was off.

Yeah, that part was a little weird and probably not as obvious as they hoped. But I imagine some light gets in there when the mask is on, so you'll see some changes in the eyes.

That's a fibre-optic style light system that I have had on several other action figures over the years. Admittedly, they did not do a brilliant job showing it there but it's still an interesting way to make it look like the eyes light up without having an internal light source. Wasn't there a Jawa figure with the same thing on it? I used to have the figure of Mike Power, Atomic Man (part of the GI Joe/Action Man range) and he had it too. It does work quite well.

Interesting international differences, our v2 version of Mike Power had the atomic pacemaker on his chest - which I believe the US one did not originally - and was black.

Only thing I'm curious to see is how durable the figure is. Looks to be a lot of moving joints. If any of the leg joints are loose it could make it impossible for GG to stand.

Are you planning to display this without the stand? I mean your gonna need it for his dynamic poses cause he looks kinda top heavy for a figure

Nope. That's not what I said. All I did was wonder about his durability, and I said that if his joints are loose, it would mean he couldn't stand on his own. Some people are making it sound like I went "Gee, if he can't stand on his own, how am I going to be able to keep him up right? I wish SSC would make something to support him.":dunno

All this talk about loose joints and stands has made me ponder... The battle droids didnt come with stands. I'd freak if he didnt...

You can try rubbing some viagra on him....

Every time I see something new on this figure it pushes me closer to ordering it.
I'm glad I broke my OT-only rule for Grievous. Always liked the design but just had to break free of my impression of him in ROTS. If they release his IG bodyguards, it'll make a really nice, self-contained prequel display.

Never brought a SW 1/6 scale before but after seeing greivous i made no hesitation!

Well, I had never bought an SW 1:6 at either until very recently. I realise that the scope for collection is most vast! But, that said, I have always wanted a top quality Darth Vader figure.

So it started with me happening to see Medicom's Darth Maul reissue on the SSC site, so I bought him...then I got Padawan Obi from SSC and now I have Darth Vader and the General on PO! And this from a person who was never going to buy a 1:6 scale SW figure! :slap
