My Orc , "Boss Bludknut" , needs some armour so I decided to utilise some seriously old school techniques . Papier Mache ! First , I created a mold with plasticene and covered this with cling film ( to prevent the whole thing from sticking ).

Then , I started to build it up with bits of newspaper and watered down "No More Nails" glue .

I continued with this , until I was happy with the thickness and when dry , I trimmed away the cling film and excess material .

Now the basic shape is there , I'll give it a good 24 hours to completely harden . In the meantime , I've done a little work on my Ultramarine .

As I've said , I'm keeping this guy pretty basic ( at least to start off! ), but I will be "beefing up " the pauldrons over the next couple of days .

The backpack is fixed with magnets , so as to be removeable because I plan on making him a jump-pack ! ( And I've just realised his lower leg armour is arse-about-face !)

On a related subject , does anyone have a decent shot of a Marine Landspeeder ! Some pics of an actual model would be ideal or schematics would be even better .
