Seb, I've been looking again at your latest Indy and I'm trying to work out if you've made the height of the fedora taller. It looks that way in the photos. If you have, how did you do it ?

Yeah I started to add some hight to the fedora crown with some magic sculpt, but I went back and watched the cairo streets scene in Raiders that the hat is sculpted to match. I actually think the hat is pretty accurate to that scene and definately has the "cairo turn" that gives it that uneven shaped brim. Other scenes the hat does seem to have a taller crown, but my personal fav look is the cairo street scenes.

No buddy i didn't reworked the hat! Maybe it's the angle of the pics that make the hat bigger!

Here's a quick pic of my WIP customized Indy!
So far:
- Re-painted head (wip)
- New body, Soldier Story (looks amazing!)
- New shirt, darker tan color
- New boots (not screen accurate, but look much better than molded ones)

What do you guys think??!!

I kept Soldier Story hands on my Indy, because when you use Sideshow hands like you did, the arms are becoming to be too long.

Special thanks to Mike Fisher (the custom belt guy and resident genius), Joe Strain for the actual working Bullwhip, and Sean Ho for the Hair, Hat and Body re-paint.

The sidebag is Sideshow, as is the jacket, which just happens to fit perfectly like an KOTCS Tony Nowak. The hat is off of the Medicom Raiders figure.

That's GREAT! Mike's KOTCS custom belt and holster is a MUST-HAVE! Love how the belt is too long and hangs down after the buckle like it did in the movie.

hi all,

long time reader, first time customizer. here's my attempt at repainting indy. my eyes need a lot of practice but the rest looks pretty good to me. sorry, my photog skills are a little lacking. i'm working on a way to really flatten his skin and the fedora whilst glossing the eyes. hope the attch's work. and please, be honest, criticisms are welcome.

Re: Custom Indiana Jones Base

Hey guys here's an update on my nearly finished indy! I'm still waiting for the belt and holsters! Also did a custom base for him!
All clothes are relic hunter mounted on a toy soldier body and fully weathered

Here's the newest update on mine. I repainted the head, changed the hat color, changed the holster belt a little, added one of Shawn's Indy whips, and redid the straps on the back of the jacket.

amazing repaint! I'd pay for that!

I have been amazed at the various repaints and I thought I would contribute my own customization. I knew I would never be able to repaint the head with any success, but I thought I would take a stab at creating a custom base.

I love the base for the Premium Format figure, and wanted something approximating it for my 12" Indiana Jones since I currently can't afford his "big brother." I created the floor design in Photoshop and attached it to a precut wooden base.

Let me know what you think. Anyone interested in one?
