As for me, I have that exact Map-Room outfit ready to go for the hatless sculpt you're repainting for me (so don't be afraid to add a little 'sweat' to that one, as it was pretty hot for poor Indy down there! )

I also have a 1/6 'Raiders Journal' set I bought off Ebay a couple years ago to go with him, and the staff, and am using the Medicom/RAH Ra headpiece, as is is closer to 1/6 scale. The Hasbro 'artifact' that came with Marion is closer to 1/4, so I have it displayed with my Indy PF.

Here's My custom 1/6 felt Raiders fedora I've made myself, it's on a Sideshow indy, it may look a little big but that's only because I wanted to show the crown of the hat. Tell me what you think. I was contemplating whether to do more. The pictures are not the greatest quality but bare with me.

The bow was a little difficult at first but I got it.

P.S., any chance you can make it in 1/4 too, to fit over the 'hatless Indy' sculpt from the PF...or at least as a variation for him to be able to hold in his hand instead of the Idol?

Here's my custom WIP Indiana Jones from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I am temporarily using my "Last Crusade" Sideshow body until my new Indy Pro body comes. Ben is thinking of painting the head up before the body comes, but he hasn't decided. I'd like to see what he can do ASAP, but you can't rush art.

Here are pics of the Medicom head, hat (which looks weird), shirt, jacket and whip with Relic Hunter pants, gunbelt and holster on Sideshow's Indy body.

I also received the Medicom Mutt figure today. It's a good figure. Worth what I paid, but not worth for what it retails, IMO.

Wow. That's stunning.

I used to like the one that came with the Sideshow figure...

Here's my Indy, customised by Seb/Elvis1976:

I love these bodies with the flowing skin sculpt. The sculpt on some of these modern figures is, like, Uncanny Valley good (especially with the custom paint jobs you lot are capable of), and a drawback to the realism is that any joint that suggests "I'm a toy!" is just maddening as hell.

My repaint of the SS head. First one up....

What does a custom paint job on a head typically cost? Eventually I'd love to commission one of you to put something together for me, 'cause the difference is just incredible.

I was thinking I could offset the cost somewhat by offering my hatless Indy head as part of the deal so's the painter in question could have an extra Indy head to do with as he pleases. After all, Indy is most likely going to remain my only Sideshow figure; this isn't my scale or price range at all, I just love the character and the head sculpt so much that I couldn't help myself...

More soon. In the meantime, I cannot overstate how talented you people are!

A quick update on old Indy. Ben repainted the Medicom sculpt. I resculpted the hat with Apoxy. It still needs to be painted better. I am very satisfied with Ben's paint job. However, it needs to be sealed a little better as the hat has scraped a little paint off. I also painted the jacket. I tried to sand it, but it put a tiny hole in the sleeve. Oops.

Thanks for the positive feedback On my fedora I'm really want to do this but I'm first looking for the best materials...(mostly just the best quality FELT I can find one that is strong and looks more 1/6th scale) If I can get that they will be perfect to my standards!

Given that most people only bought the Belloq Ex for the environment, it's gonna be pretty hard. I think, at this point, ebaY is your best bet to find them separated.

Here's another update on old Indy.

With the help of an older Indy custom of mine, there are two improvements that have been made to "old" Indy. The hat is a rubber recast of Jim Maddox's first Indy hat from Hero Heads. The gunbelt was custom made by Ben for the aforementioned figure. All I did was flip it so that Indy is wearing it backwards.
