I'll be hunting down a deal on one of these in December. I have one of the standard version on the way now. These death troopers look great in photos, so they must look even better on display.

It’s weird how all the Rogue One Troopers are so expensive in the aftermarket. Like these guys, the Shoretrooper (especially), and the Jedha Troopers all fetch close to $300 each or more in the case of the Shoretrooper.

I don't see it as weird at all.
Rogue One is the best film since the OT. The designs are fantastic and truely fit the classic Star Wars Universe.

There is simply no comparison between the Shoretrooper and the ST Stormtrooper.

I expect we might see similar with the Patrol Trooper and Mud Trooper. When the designs are good the demand is there. Though Solo was not as good a film as Rogue One.

I just meant because Troopers generally don't go for crazy amounts it seems like. Including the ones from the Original Trilogy. I do agree that the Solo Troopers may sky rocket too. I have the Patrol Trooper on pre-order and may get the Mud Trooper too.

I envy you. What you call skyrocketed is retail price here. So I am ordering from other countries. Yet, it is still cheaper than retail price despite shipping cost and customs.

They're mostly expensive cause they went real conservative with the production numbers after the overproduction debacle that was/is the TFA troopers.

It might be because these are most likely a one and done in the SWU. When they make a Kenobi, Maul or other movies we could see the OT design again but the chances are slim we will see these guys in any large roll in future films.

EDIT

Or maybe they could be on the small screen. I just saw this

Haha that was the shortest argument I've seen in a while. Really hope Krennic gets a cameo in this. Or enough of an excuse for HT to get back to him for a figure.

Here's another link from the source.

These cheap ** pistol holsters on both of my Death Troopers have already started to rot, its just a matter of time before they're completely turn to dust :monkey4

I also got one, but I was thinking, there is a chance that they will have death troopers in the rogue one prequel and HT makes them again.

Well Krennic referred to them as his personal guard, so I don't know if we'd see them separate from him. I suppose other high ranking officers could have their own set of Death Troopers for protection, but the fact we've never seen any before makes that kind of unlikely.

Rebels animated series used them as Tarkin and Thrawn guards as well. I believe canon material have them labelled as elite variants of stormtroopers specifically assigned to the "Tarkin initiative" R&D division.

They were spotted on set of the post-ROTJ series 'The Mandalorian'.

Krennic was just referring specifically to the Death Troopers assigned to him, and not that all Death Troopers were his own.

In the new canon, they serve as elite troopers under Imperial Intelligence. They've made appearances in shows, comics, and books. They are usually shown conducting or commanding missions that are high risk or high importance, or as guards for other high ranking officers like Tarkin and Thrawn.

Can you post a pic? I considered getting at least one to go with Krennic but that's a bummer if the holsters/gear is rotting. The deterioration of HT pleather is a real problem.

Ah ok, thanks. Guess I just haven't been watching all the right stuff. :p
