Ordered! I'm very excited. I am a sucker for a good base. I can live without the repeating rifle gun thingy (whatever it's called). Very excited to add to the collection.

Good choice man. I've ordered him as well. Also partially because of the decent base.
I'm also a bit torn on the rifle. But the more I look at it, the big badass rifle that comes with this guy looks more menacing. Plus he can hold it in different positions with the doll in hand, or not etc. Lots of good posability to change it up from time to time.

Cancelled my preorder. No Krennic, no shelf.

Regular Specialist is still available at BBTS so I fully expect your 'Buy-2-get-a-3rd-free' to come to pass.

I think the specialist was indeed the first RO figure. Sadly I also think the three for the price of two is the more likely scenario than Krennic seeing the light of day. I would much prefer the latter.

You guys are giving up on Krennic already?!
There will be a Krennic...I guarantee that. Just because it hasn't been released or revealed at the same time as the other figures does not mean that the character won't be made. I mean they are still in the midst of making other SW figures from the OT. Give it time. It'll come.

I don't need a Krennic, just a black stormtrooper that was in a Star Wars film(and Rebels too apparently). What kept me from buying the Shadow Trooper was that he didn't appear in a film, so when I saw the death troopers it was

That's a good rationale.
I love RO and can't wait to watch it again on Tuesday, but strangely I don't find any of the characters truly compelling like those of the OT. Villain is a bit flat, heroes are a bit flat, troopers are a bit flat. Yet the movie is a great ride -- its a much better whole than the sum of its parts.
That was my original plan, with hopes of Krennic.
Now... I may just put K2 in with my only two TFA figures -- Ren and Jakkutrooper -- and call it a day.
Can't believe so many people are bailing on this!

I purchased this deluxe Death Trooper and I'll eventually get K2S0. Rogue One was my second favourite SW film after ESB. Honestly, I saw it 3 times and every time I went I wanted to go back and immediately watch it again. But I think I'll stick to the DT and K2. They will blend well with my other SW figures.

Right with you there Bebe. Also my 2nd favourite. Maybe even top SW favourite. I think R1 will become one of the real SW classics.
I'm in for Jynn, K2 and Cassian trio. They have to make him. Then Deathtrooper and Krennic. If they don't do Krennic then my Deathtrooper can play with his doll on his mini mountain by himself. Will also look good. Or could do the shoretrooper, tank trooper deathtrooper trio I guess.

Shore trooper, tank trooper and deathtrooper trio was what I initially planned too! That fell apart since the tank trooper was not announced and I got a 2nd deathtrooper
My original plan was to simply get K2 and Jynn and call it a day. I figured we wouldn't see a Cassian or Krennic from Hot Toys. I did pre-order K2 but have yet to pre-order Jynn.
Then the slippery slope hit and I pre-ordered the Stormtrooper 2-pack and the Shoretrooper. I do want the Deathtrooper Deluxe as well but have also waited on pre-ordering it.
I'm going to wait and see what kind of deals come up for the Deathtrooper and Jynn. I know HT isn't planning to release these in huge numbers, after the TFA glut, but I'm hoping there's enough to bring down the prices, somewhat. Then again, I may just pre-order and get them done with...

I look at it as potential good news.....I ordered the specialist prior to the other two being announced so I stuck with him. Should these and regular not sell well they could show up with heavy discounts later which may change my mind on buying another.
If Krennic is announced my hopes may go out the window least for this guy as he may sell out. Worst case pick up a few pieces and parts and bastardize my Specialist...
With three variant Death Troopers, there's no way you won't be able to get a DeathTrooper of some kind.
