1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: DEATH TROOPER Specialist (Deluxe)

I’ve never bought a full custom figure since there hasn’t been one that I’ve seen that I wanted in my few years of collecting 1/6. I figure they cost much more than production figures but I’d consider a custom 2-tubes depending how good he looked. The only things I could see bashable is the chest piece and hands could be from a TIE pilot and maybe repainted Threepio hands?

I've seen a couple of cosplay life-size costumes on RPF, but no 1/6 scale. We thought one of the headsculpters could probably do a headsculpt, but the rest ??

Who has the most connections here ? Wor-Gar ? We should get our s#*t together and get this guy made as a custom.

Someone did say on the "Why no HT love for Krennic, Baze, Cassian" thread I believe that the costume part wouldn't be impossible to make (or something to that effect).

Likely very possible to make. However, the cost would be $600 plus at least. Probably pretty few people here who want Two-Tubes for that kind for money, and to get a project started you usually need 30 to start.

Think about it:
There's the cost for head sculpt, hands, that long rifle and bits like the TIE chest piece casted...
Then the paintwork for all that...
Then the tailoring work to make the outfit...
You need to find someone willing to make the boots... or again another part for casting and painting...
PLUS buying a body...

I wonder if someone could take on the sculpt plus painting like galactiboy has set up for the Wampa project. Cain did the sculpt/casting and galactiboy did the fur/painting.

Custom wise there’s just a lot with this figure. Hands are pretty unique. Gun is unique, as is the belt. Maybe the other one would be more feasible since he doesn’t have the trench coat. Would probably be even more than $600 when all is said and done.

It’d be awesome to see someone like Jnix take on the sculpt.

Seems like the chest piece is on Benthic in the movie. The costume display posted earlier has it on Edrio (Saw’s bad ass trench coat wearing right hand man).

I get confused myself on these two -- and still have trouble keeping them straight -- but Saw's right hand does not have the TIE pilot chest box (which I erroneously mentioned above for the bash). Publicity photos, the traveling costume and the Hasbro toy are wrong (at least if they are implying that costume is Saw's right hand).

Benthic is Saw's right-hand and the guy we all love in the movie. His other, Edrio, can be seen in the background here and there with the TIE box.

As far as customs go, Benthic's costume is actually simpler than Edrio's without that flight box. Of course, he's got that large backpack instead.


Maybe we're better off making a "petition" to send to Hot Toys pleading them to make Benthic "Two-Tubes".

Ahh. Always thought the black trench coat one was Edrio. Petition would be great.m but not sure how many would actually want this guy as there are many who didn’t care or like RO. Which is just crazy

Rogue One's character designs are amazing. I can't believe how much TFA and TLJ crap there is without seeing a Krennic or Baze.

It's a pity HT stopped when they did with R1 figures. I guess they weren't sure of the outcome of the first Anthology film.

However I have faith they'll come back to it eventually. Certainly a lot of collectors here voicing their support of Rogue One characters.

I dont think this deluxe version of DT is worth $260 include shipping fee (from BBTS), small diorama base, doll kinda lame, should have all guns included in this deluxe, *****y pistol holster

With same price range, the deluxe Boba Fett ROTJ which I also recently got from same BBTS is way better in value, high quality diorama sarlacc pit base, alternative normal display stand with plate name

should have pull the trigger on normal specialist version instead, like that short rifle..hmm

I don't think the base is too small, but I do wish they included the standard stand like in Boba Fett. I never use the sarlacc base so I am glad they included the standard one too. At the very least they could have at least incorporated a removable name plate into the base.

Absolutely they should have included the shorter blaster. It just gives off SF vibes and is probably one of my favorite blasters.

All I know is that RO HT stuff is going to sell better than TLJ HT stuff. Seems a lot of interest in RO has come from those disappointed with TLJ.
