1/6 Hot Toys Rogue One: DEATH TROOPER (Reg)

I caught that too...but I think that was part of the character. Constantly driven and maneuvering. A little frazzled...a contrast to the sharply pressed and perfectly appointed Tarkin who is quite literally nipping at Krennic's heels.

Considering the character, a neatly pressed and perfect cape would almost look wrong....

I liked this about him, unlike most Imperial commanders, this guy was out in the trenches making sure things got done.

Finally decided I liked this "clean" version best and PO'd him. I used a gift card I got for Christmas and the $20 code from my Vader which would have expired today. Got him for $99 before shipping!

Yep same I cancelled my Deluxe/Specialist for the regular, looks much nicer in my opinion.

You can 'de-specialize' it and keep all the accessories from the deluxe. It's what I'm going to do!

Not gonna spend more money on stuff I'm not gonna use. Plus the deluxe doesn't come with the standard blaster which is just ridiculous.

That's what irritated me, the deluxe should include all the weapons.

I prefer the standard blaster rifle rather than the DTL-19. Doesn't make any sense to not include the new rifle.

Exactly! That's why I ordered this version. That - and the over-use of pauldrons and ammo pouches on troopers lately in Rogue One and The Force Awakens has made them less "specialist" so I prefer this clean streamlined look.

...saw that a pauldron'd trooper with the DTL-19 killed Jyn's mom and also Chirrut.... and was the guy who held the bomb that took out Baze.

Point.. but had I got the specialist/deluxe DT I'd have an all-pauldron Rogue One squad (got the wine rack trooper on order too).

When the inevitable DT two pack comes out, then drops in price around this time 2018, I'll consider getting some more pauldrons!

I thought all the gear was removable? Someone had the first fig and took it all apart -- pauldron and grenade pack.

Knowing HT, the Specialist Deluxe will have all that gear glued down -- like when they changed the working swingline on Luke Trooper to a glued non-working version for Luke Tatooine but never told anyone.

Does it bother anyone else that even with three releases, the death troopers helmet -so far- isn't painted in the two-tone prop scheme (similar to Vader's) ?

One on display alone isn't going to look as threatening as two and what I spent on the deluxe I will save on not getting a K-2SO, who was never going to nicely fit in a Detolf anyway.

One on display alone isn't going to look as threatening as two and what I spent on the deluxe I will save on not getting a K-2SO, who was never going to nicely fit in a Detolf anyway.

K-2SO is the same height as Chewy (well 0.01" shorter) so he should fit in a detolf. I also PO'd the Deluxe Death Trooper earlier in the week from PC and accidentally added Deluxe Jyn and K-2SO as well while they were still on discount. Looks like they've forgotten to remove that discount on Jynn and K-2SO that was supposed to expire yesterday if anyone else is still on the fence. Think this will be it for me R1 collection (depending on how Krennic and Cassian turn out). Not a fan of the new stormtrooper outfits. Will wait on possible ANH stunt and ROTJ versions.

What do you think the odds are for an ANH stunt version Stormtrooper ? Would also love that, but I don't know. Does the Sandtrooper have the stunt helmet ? If yes, it wouldn't be hard for them to do it. I sometimes write to Hot Toys (from their HK website) and put in suggestions. My theory is they won't know what is wanted unless they get feedback.

I'd say Another ANH Stormtrooper is not going to be released anytime soon since they have been showing a ROTJ Stormie at the last couple of conventions.
