Local shop got Threepio in this past Friday and I picked him up. I had been checking every week since blogger photos had been released so it was exciting to finally see him on the shelf

I've got some ideas for a cool makeshift base...will update when I've got it put together. Aperture Labs ThreeA square standing in for R2D2, cause I don't have one...

No, but they tend to get figures much later if you’re worried.

Articulation is better on the Tamashii, however the sharpness and detail from HT will make the ROTJ a nice piece. Having the AOTC holds me over. Very nice figure but the lack or articulation for me makes the Tamashii the better figure. Need TPM 3PO now.View attachment IMG_1938.jpeg

Unfortunately I haven't opened him yet but definitely within the next few days.
For those who have both, I assume the 3PO head that came with R2 is 100% the same item as the removable/swappable head that comes with the 3PO fig?But 3PO is right there!
You know it would’ve been funny if Hot Toys pulled a classic move and didn’t even make AOTC 3PO. If all we had was just his head.
Glad that isn’t the case.
I would assume they wouldn't have made a different sculpt and both heads seem to have identical detailing, light-up feature and paint apps.

Missed business opportunity to not make a 3PO Build-A-Figure by spreading his parts across all the AOTC figures.

Yeah, I did. They're always slow. Don't worry though, it will be shipped in a month or so. They're reliable.

I just got my stand for R2 in from @Cocoboloboy - it makes such a huge difference to have him in a display instead of just standing on the shelf.
I'm planning to display him with ROTJ C-3PO once he's released, so I threw together a temporary setup with Grogu in the meantime.
