Sorry for the confusion. Those were before and after pictures or rather in this case its the reverse.

The second picture showed how it was after 3 years.

The first picture is how it looks now after I redrilled and refilled the hole some.

Going to attempt another stab at it.

Can someone (hint Jen) take a picture of how the feet and toes sit on the base.

The endo's left foot has toes that do not rest on the base.

Thanks!
James.

My retailer contacted SS.

They said it was 3 years plus since my purchase. They couldn't do anything about it.

However they did give me my retailer store credit which they passed back to me.

About $750 store credit.

Helped pay for my wolf LSF some :)

so props to SS. Glad my signature still rings true.

Wow. Wonder what they will offer me for my problems with the 2.0. They are supposed to get back to me after all the new parts they sent showed up with issues as well.

I dunno cos you still have the option of a refund, I don't.

Having a leaning statue of this size is pretty scary. Worried it would fall over or the thighs would break.

Had to go buy a specialized drill and drill bit as the hole is 21mm in diameter and about 18cm deep.

Problem still not fully resolved.

What issue are you facing w the new parts?

I got all new hoses, arms and chest but they didn't get to me well. They shipped the boxes not on a palet and I don't think the boxes liked that too much since they originally come on a palet. The fingers are broken off the hands and chips all over the arms and chest. They also just threw the hoses in the box with the chest and no protection ... the ends are resin and cracking all over.
Plus there is so much glop on the fingers of these new arms I don't think I would have been happy with them anyway there is more glop visible than fingers on the outside of the hand :slap

TBH I think you might be happier returning this and getting the lifesize IM mark 42 or getting a few LSF instead. :1-1:

This is crazy. For such an expensive item you think they would care more about QC...

Ok. A year later, the problem has got worse.

I asked the retailer to help me contact SS to see if they had any suggestions on what can be done and in the event nothing could be done if I could trade this version in and buy a replacement 2.0 version.

Sad to say Sideshow replied saying that they were not going to do anything as the item was purchased too long ago.

Very disappointed. I get it if I had damaged the statue and they wouldn't help me out.

BUT this was a factory manufacture defect that just got worse with time.

Amaze balls response for a statue that costs 7K.

Anyone has any suggestions on how to fix the problem.

Please see the video for details. Thanks.

Once you take a partial refund/credit Sideshow will state the issue is closed.

Maybe you should of pushed, via your retailer, for a better resolution at the time.
I know that doesn't help now :(

Good luck fixing him.

They told me is take it or nothing else.

the version 2 hadn't come in yet and the ver 1 was sold out.

Now with the wolf issue, I'm afraid to put it together.

I would be pissed to say the least. I own the first version and still all good. Maybe put a smaller diameter solid rod and make it a bit longer. Ther are a few things you could try to stop the slop. See how you go.

Guys. Thinking of doing this.

Anyone has any experience with it?

thanks in advance.

Is it not possible to refill the holes with cement or something similar and set in a couple of metal pipes which the supports on the terminator will fit into. I have the second version of this and I think that is how they did it. I had to thicken the posts with tape as there was a bit of play but it is very stable.

If you look at the first pic in this pdf it gives you an ides.

The problem is the base is hollow except for the area around the feet so filling the hole will just fill the base and not the hole. :(

Just to point out tnaig001, this isn't modified SS Endo, this is LFS Endo, in case you knew, sorry for pointing it out ;)

Yup, i found the picture from the site. It gave me some ideas on what to do with the problem.

:D

any suggestions.

ok. It took a while, but I think the journey has come to a happy ending.

Gentlemen, I give you the Endoskeleton 1.1

Glad to see you found a way to fix it after all this time. I wouldn't even dare of thinking to get this endo seeing all the trouble you got thru...
