The star definitely has a cheaper mass produced stamped/pressed in look, rather than the machined and secured on look of the movies (see pics above). The reds and blues are superrr wet, so in harsh bright light, the glossy and even reflective nature of it ruins the spun look. In softer light...

Mine shipped out from Amazon and it'll be here Monday! I'm just happy this shield cost half of what the EFX one costed me... Good luck to me if I try to turn that one loose now. More importantly, if this one is good, I can pass on expecting EFX to ever release their metal version.

I generally have had a good track record with SS, and have been very lucky with only having to request replacement parts on a few statues. Of the 50+ pieces I've ordered from them over the last 2 years alone, I've only had to return one. This will be the second. Here's a few pics.
