Hmm, ordering the crypt base edition direct from IS with shipping to Asia plus tax will break my wallet. Seems like I'm gonna have to settle with the retailer deluxe edition.

Hopefully, they will add the mask as a surprise accessory!

I wonder if the mask could have somehow fell into a license issue? Maybe Universal somehow has the rights to that prop? Did Chaney design the mask? If so, that probably would mean it belongs to the estate. Seems like a big omission if there wasn’t an issue including it. I’d personally have liked to have seen a masked head and separate loose mask accessory. I don’t imagine I’d be using the masked head often in a display but having the accessory to lay on the ground like Christine just dropped it would add some storytelling to the display.

Sideshow’s monsters and villains event starts tomorrow so I can’t see how we won’t see Erik showing up for that. Fingers crossed on that exclusive.

There is presntly no deal in place between Universal and KP. They are trying though. Someone asked about Frankenstein on FB. This was there reply when asked "When?"

Kaustic Plastik
When Universal will accept a deal with us.
Good to know they are actively pursuing it. I can’t imagine the Universal Monsters are exactly a hot commodity right now and clearly KP is making some wonderful monster figures. Unless Universal has unreasonable terms or is trying to distance themselves from the original looks in favor of their new Epic Universe monsters redesigns I’m hopeful that something will materialize.

I hope part of that deal doesn't involve the removal of the "heir" monsters. 🙏

I imagine as a company, Universal might feel irked to have their monsters made and sold under the same company as the "rival" heir monsters, whom they are lost in the legal battle.

My hope is that these figures KP are producing will continue to be such good product that the licencers will have no choice but to give their blessing.

What KP said about the mask on FB. I do hope they offer it.
