Wow. Looks sooo good man! I really wanted to get the DX06 as I really like how that looks. Wonder if it's worth getting this one over a second hand DX06? Looks too good.
I personally think so. As a person who's indifferent to the character but still appreciates the design.

I've seen the old one. It's great. This one tops it tho imo.

WOW! That is the BEST smirking sculpt they've made! LOVE IT! Leaps over the original DMC and DX06 and a nice upgrade to the DX15 one.
The serious sculpt looks very close to the DX15 but with more dialed in likeness by the looks. Rooted dreads look amazing! Going to try as much as I can to get the Artisan version. I'll be more gutted than missing out on Anakin if I can't get this one.

Here's what I'm noticing:
  • Vest and pants appear to be new.
  • Shirt, coat and boots look to be the same as DX15 as well as the wrist wrap and lace wrap
  • The fur pelts are finally accurate! This is one of those "minor" things that has bothered me since the DX06.
  • Belts are finally real leather (good call @Luisenigma1 :duff )
  • Hat is unfortunately the same as DX15 which is NOT a good thing. Mad Leather studio made a good one and once I get another order from them to verify their quality, I will probably order at least one of their hats.
  • Blade on his cutless appears to have some weathering finally thankfully
  • 3 new hand sculpts that weren't included in the DX15. Always down for more hand options.
  • Bandana looks a bit poofy on the Artisan but unfortunate that the regular doesn't.
Overall, this appears to be a definite worthy upgrade to both the DX06 and DX15 IMO. At the very least, those who have the DX15 should probably upgrade the headsculpts with the non-artisan version, leather belts and extra hands. For those with the DX06, either sell that one or upgrade the heads and body (so the necks and arms will be painted the same) and the belts.
You like the smirk too! Well that makes a whopping two of us lol

I agree with others saying the cloth bandana makes his noggin look larger haha, and even the regular braids look huge in comparison to the real thing, but I’m definitely going for the Artisan offering. I bet I’ll be able to futz with it and pull on the bandana which will give it the natural wrinkles pulled tight. I also plan on always displaying it with the hat on anyway.

Overall, this is lipstick on DX06 and DX15 reuse but whatever, I’ll take it as I don’t have a Jack in the collection and this looks great all things considered. I do appreciate the updates to real leather belts and boots and other things that @Gipetto0812 is outlining!

The wool hair is far more impressive on the back of the head but you're never gonna be seeing that when this figure is on display so it's kind of a mute detail.

Definitely a figure that doesn't really benefit a crazy amount from it but really good looking none the less. The bandana making the head look bigger on the cloth version is bit of a bummer. I like the more slim look of the plastic bandana but like the look of the actual cloth bandana material more. Wish they could slim the cloth version down to match. The smirk sculpt is also great. I'm seeing 100% Depp in this photo in particular:

I just cannot see the value in the Artisan offering unless futzing is your thing.

It's gorgeous, but the regular one is too. The bandana is an issue. No doubt.

Well, Jack is one of my favorite characters so its hard to pass on this, despite the fact that the DX15 remains one of HT's best figures ever.

I guess I can finally have a coated, hatted Jack (DX15) and one now without the hat and coat (Artisan).

Yeah exactly, that’s why the Artisan speaks to me! I love futzing. All you have to do is pull on the bandana from the back and voila, you get that more natural look to it with the wrinkles.

Looking at it more, the fabric bandana doesn't feel too bad in the long shots. But what you will definitely notice from a distance is the difference in material.

Yea, the back and top of the head are where you can really see the dreads looks really good. From the front, while still looking really good, doesn't have that same impact but I do like seeing all the real wrapping on the dreads. Would've been nice to have gotten that on the sculpted versions also. Sad that they appear to have skipped out on the knot at the back of the bandana though and instead opted to hide the closure underneath the "tail" of dreads. Even Medicom/Enterbay had the real fabric knot on theirs.

If I can't get the artisan, I'll at least opt for Dino's fabric bandana to place over the plastic one

I also called it with the hair on the sculpted hair being wool and not that doll hair. Lol
Very true! and I admit on being wrong that it wouldn't be that big of a deal and only minor when it does look to be a worth while upgrade over the previous doll hair
