Wow -- they give you both heads from the DX06 and DX15. Maulfan's eyes just went wide.

I love the LED latern.

I don't remember the dagger.

Still the chocolate brown overcoat instead of the dark gray/sea green.

Hat looks good, oversized, but I like the leather sheen.

I like that you don't have to go Artisan to get leather belts. And I actually think the sculpted bandana looks better size-wise, the fabric one makes his noggin look a little too big.

Hot Toys are calling the non-Artisan version the "deluxe." Does that mean there's an actual standard version coming with a simpler base?

To be fair the coat is accurate to DMTNT but it can also be different lighting in film.

They just posted photos of the standard -- and you still get a wheel, but on a simple flat rectangular base! Both headsculpts with moving eyes and genuine leather accessories included as well!

Don't need anything more, to be honest. That's an excellent set.

Looks good. Not my cup of rum (ha) but the photos are selling it. Liked (didn't love) the films up to the third one and I was over it. Way to clean/Hollywood for a pirate film to pull me in.

Likeness is baller. I don't have a problem with the smirking face...

Yeah, the rather large noggin on the Artisan looks a little odd when you start staring at it.

The oversized hat fits better on the larger bandana though.

Truthfully, the only difference is the "haired" dreads and the real material scarf... and the plastic dreads look about as good as the "haired" ones.

It's probably using a sculpted one underneath the fabric bandana to keep the shape and also be a separate piece that goes over the head sculpt.

Wow. Looks sooo good man! I really wanted to get the DX06 as I really like how that looks. Wonder if it's worth getting this one over a second hand DX06? Looks too good.

WOW! That is the BEST smirking sculpt they've made! LOVE IT! Leaps over the original DMC and DX06 smirking heads and a nice upgrade to the DX15 one.
The serious sculpt looks very close to the DX15 but with more dialed in likeness by the looks. Could just be repainted to bring out the likeness more, but hard to tell. Rooted dreads look amazing! Going to try as much as I can to get the Artisan version. I'll be more gutted than missing out on Anakin if I can't get this one.

Here's what I'm noticing:
  • Vest and pants appear to be new.
  • Boots being leather is a great addition and a bit of a surprise.
  • Shirt and coat look to be the same as DX15 as well as the wrist wrap and lace wrap
  • The fur pelts are finally accurate! This is one of those "minor" things that has bothered me since the DX06.
  • Belts are finally real leather (good call @Luisenigma1 :duff )
  • Hat is unfortunately the same as DX15 which is NOT a good thing. Mad Leather studio made a good one and once I get another order from them to verify their quality, I will probably order at least one of their hats.
  • Blade on his cutless appears to have some weathering finally thankfully
  • 3 new hand sculpts that weren't included in the DX15. Always down for more hand options.
  • Bandana looks a bit poofy on the Artisan but unfortunate that the regular doesn't come with one.
  • Sash looks to be nicely dirtied up but still needs to be tattered an torn to be more accurate to DMTNT. Better than the pristine clean ones from the DX06 and DX15 though
Overall, this appears to be a definite worthy upgrade to both the DX06 and DX15 IMO. At the very least, those who have the DX15 should probably upgrade the headsculpts with the non-artisan version, leather belts and extra hands. For those with the DX06, either sell that one or upgrade the heads and body (so the necks and arms will be painted the same as the new head) and the belts to the new leather ones.

Wish we could get the fabric bandana over the sculpted hair.
