Hot Toys DX15 Captain Jack Sparrow (Dead Men Tell No Tales)

The RAH coat has the best tailoring of any 1/6 Sparrow coat, and the tricorn is fantastic, I use it on my DX15.

I regret selling Jack to this day. Now knowing DMTNT is the last time we will ever see Captain Jack Sparrow.

Sorry if this has been addressed earlier in the thread, the dx15 I bought had a cracked 3rd belt (typical HT pleather). Anybody have any suggestions for a suitable replacement or fix?

I was considering trying to paint the belt back and applying some sort of acrylic bonding agent to fix it.

Otherwise I'm considering finding some sort of belt on taobao for me to mod and replace this monstrosity.

I'm happy to say I just bought Jack from a fellow collector on FB. Although It was $400 that's better then some places and he was briefly displayed and left in the box since. Hopefully no issues when he arrives but I'm so glad I got him back.

No the sellers name was Freddie Cabrera.

Got jack and he's just as amazing as I remember but I have the same issue with the belts falling apart after trying to remove them to futz. I can understand it's a few years old and the pleather sucks anyways. I'll probably have the belts replaced with real leather. The snake skin one is fine though.

That's one really clean pirate.

Interesting to be doing this, but we know how Hot Toys loves Depp. If there was one figure that didn't really need redoing it was DX15 -- really one of their best figures.

Should've done another movie... they've already done DMTNT.

I feel like this is essentially a reissue for Hot Toys. The DX15 is Artisan level already, so HT has very little work to do here.

So it could be another Anakin with only an artisan version.

This is a weird choice for sure. Do they only have the license for DMTNT? A Jack Sparrow from the first movie would have been awesome.

Perfect opportunity to finally do a Curse of the Black Pearl version after all these years and they decide to reissue the DX15 but with wool hair.

I suppose they'll do the dreads now?... because there was real hair on the DX15 already. No, lazy is as lazy does HT is still with us.

It's always that way. Thank you for pulling the plug so we could get this reissue of the DX15 with "real" dreads.

Yeah I should have held off. I'll still buy one but man If I sell the Dx15 Jack now I won't get that $400 I paid.

Even if this Jack is next, it'll be more than a year before its delivered and who knows when they'll put it up for PO... so you'll have had 2+ years with the DX15... which still may be the better figure in the end. I love mine. It's up there with Nicholson Joker and DX13 T-800.
