Man-Bat is my only piece from the line ironically enough as a Batman collector I’m limiting myself. I just went all in for their X-men line. But that phantasm timed edition was amazing looking.

I'm also limiting my Mondo animated Batman series as well, for the villain, I'm skipping Freeze and Catwoman, but I can't resist Joker, Harley, Man-Bat and Phantasm. The latter is because I love the movie, and fits well with Batman n Joker.
And yes, I am focusing on their X-Men line as well, although I didn't get civilian Wolverine and Omega Red.

After binge watching the first season on Netflix, I'm tempted to get a few figures from this line. I feel like I've missed the boat on Bats and Joker though.

I haven't opened my bats yet (I got the black n grey version), but some people said the QC is bad. Also, the material of the figure is questionable.
If you don't mind 3rd party figures, a 3rd party company recently opened a pre-order for 1/6 animated Batman.. and I think it looks good.

For the Joker (and Harley if you want), I will say get the exclusive version if you can. Especially Harley.

It's the height change with the short arms (?) and QC that made me hesitate for the longest time.

I'm all in on the S-Hero Supe and Bats. I may just stick to X-Men from Mondo.

Yes! On the Batman redux, they elongated the torso but not the arms so they are too short.

And yeah, the S-Hero animated figures looks really cool. I hope they start making the villains as well, especially Joker!

Do the Mondo figures “melt” over time?

I took my childhood Playmates TMNT figures out recently for the first time in about 15 years and noticed they felt sticky, sort of how the PS2 analog sticks get over time.

Same with my Hot Toys Marty BTTF2 Nike shoe bag, it suddenly got sticky - all I did was keep it behind a dust proof case for the past few years.

Only problem with the 3rd party companies, they rarely finish the line

they’ll start with a couple main characters and move onto something else. I guess you could say the same about Hot Toys too. :lol

Mars/Saturn Toys has been doing a good job lately with all the love for Batman 66 & 89.

I'm not sure if it melts over time, but some members here complained about the plastic quality.
The stand also tends to leave marks on the thighs areas.
Yes, the sticky syndrome is common to old/vintage figures, I think I've heard that it's because of the plastic composition and weather/humidity elements.

True that.
They couldn't risk making the side characters that just don't sell well.
And I agree about Mars/Saturn Toys! Although recent posts here made me worry about Pfeiffer and Newmar Catwoman!

I hope we get a Tygrus figure from Mondo and looking forward to Clayface.
that’s a deep cut, I had to look up who Tygrus was.

I forgot who the Condiment King was too until the recent McFarlane build-a-figure.

you can take away my BTAS card. :lol I haven’t rewatched the show much since the episodes originally aired in the 1990s but I love the show.

I just love the expressions 😎

Lol not the most popular character but I've always been a fan of werewolves and in this case a...Catman lol

Considering Mondo figures are $200+, there’s probably less probability for more of the obscure characters to be released in figure form.

NECA and Super 7 figures are typically only $25 - $55 each so they have more free reign for riskier choices. there have been some deep cut figures released in their TMNT, Silverhawks and Thundercats line - I doubt many people remember who Quick Pick was. :lol

As far as obscure BTAS characters, I do remember Baby Doll and the Ventriloquist. For some reason I thought Jervis was his own separate villain character but when I looked it up, he’s actually who became Mad Hatter. :duh I remembered there was a coworker he was infatuated with but forget she was named Alice.

Yeah chances are VERY slim but I'm holding out hope as there's never been a figure of him. And quick pick I had no idea who that was, gotta watch through Silverharks again haven't seen it since I was a kid.

I'd love Mondo to make the Ventriloquist and the Mad Hatter! If they make Baby Doll, then Killer Croc is a must!

If they include that venom infused upper body this might become my first Mondo!

I've never bought anything from Mondo, so I have some basic questions you guys here can probably easily answer:
  • Is the Mondo shop generally the only place to order these when they go live?
  • For non-US buyers, I saw that there is free shipping as well to most countries. How about import fees? Do they ship from the US, or perhaps an EU hub/warehouse or something?
Thanks!

If Mondo does an exclusive or timed version of a figure, then the Mondo shop is the only place to get it.
But the regular non-exclusive version of that figure can be bought from other places.

Yes, for shipping from the Mondo shop, there is free shipping to most countries, but you do have to pay import fees. I had to pay import fees for delivery to the UK for the new Man-Bat figure.

I know of one site in the UK that sells Mondo figures, but that's not Europe anymore sadly, so that won't help you in regards to import fees. Plus they only sell the regular non-exclusive version of the figures.

I'm betting the version of Bane with the venom infused body will very likely be the Mondo exclusive version. So if that's the version you want the most, it's very likely you will need to order from the Mondo shop.

Thanks for the thorough reply! Looks like I need to follow this release closely then (which included me subscribing to this thread now).

Man-Bat arrived this week, and I wasn't prepared for how huge he is!!

With the spread-wings attached, he's absolutely ginormous, and there's no way he'll fit on the shelf I normally keep my Mondo figures on. Will have to figure out a new display, especially since Bane is going to be massive too.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the Mondo BTAS gang so far (minus the first two Batman figures who are in their boxes currently).
