Great, now I need 3. It looks awesome in that video. This gave me some of my collecting mojo back. Between this and padme, which to me looks good, this was a good week.

Are you hedging that Hot Toys is not making Bespin Han? Is that why you’re getting 3 ROTJ Hans?

The figure looks better in MRC’s Secret Base video than the promo pics, the wrinkles not as pronounced. I’m guessing the final product will get slightly softer too.

Well placed my order with secretcompass, as they're one of the few other sites that don't charge tax to CA. Probably means I won't get it until a month after everybody else though.

Was going to wait for Kit, but figured I'd miss that brief window too. Lol

Is Secret Compass reasonable with shipping fees?

I just started preordering some Prime 1 statues (1:3) with them.

I’ll probably PO this, but as others has said, this is probably my least liked look for the scoundrel. A really strange decision to go for the ROJ version by HT. Majority of collectors have been crying out for an ESB version for years, which I’m sure would be one of HT most purchased releases. Has anyone got any likely reasons why they’ve gone “ left field “ with this? Maybe there testing the water with the characters present popularity, before finally giving us the grail ESB version 🤷🏼‍♂️

I hate the new bases.
Is there a crotch or waist grabber with this base?

The Indiana Jones had some type of ankle grabber to support the figure.

Conceptually, I think the base works for more a more statuesque look if the figure is displayed by itself (like on single shelf of a Detolf).

But this elevated base makes it awkward to pair with other figures to recreate a scene, not to mention it is not uniform with other bases from ROTJ.

That look isn't that the look from endor when they broke in and he shrugs his shoulders?

It's a waist grabber:

I was just watching MRCs video before coming on here:noticed it was already posted.
I was always buying this, and after watching the video I have no worries in the least.
A long over due addition to the collection.
Just need a TESB 2 pk with Hoth and Bespin attire, throw in a Carbonite block, make it a deluxe pack.
If they do MORE Ewoks now,I know I wouldn't complain.
Beautiful figure this one.

Only reckless speculation on my part, but probably licensing/rights issues or economic factors delayed Bespin Han to the point where they were coming up on the ROTJ anniversary and thought “let’s try and get Endor Han out in time for the anniversary” when the paperwork was finally cleared up. Then there was another delay (prob someone along the legal custody chain went on Christmas vacay) and ROTJ Han was himself delayed until now.

To me it seems like there must still be some challenges with Ford even though we’re starting to get figures. The fact that the DOD Indy took months to go up for pre-order makes me think Hot Toys had some challenges.

Whether he charges a lot to use his likeness or just is stubborn about giving it out to companies or what. I feel like they probably would have done this for the ROTJ 40th Anniversary but there must have been some hangups.

Yes, Bespin Han was teased by Howard way back when he first got the licence. And by the time this comes out it'll be Empire's 45th anniversary!

Meanwhile, if not already noted in the thread, I'd forgot Sideshow never got around to doing Endor Han. So this will be our first 1/6 version since this one...

Yep. Don’t forget pelvic super thrust Medi Han.

The new base is abysmal. At first glance of the promo pics I wasn’t that hyped over the HS, but that video shows how spot-on it is. They know it’s Han and people will pay for OT - pretty basic for that price.
