At the moment my plan is still just to have the Partyman head, beret and correct tie spare as future options - I only have one DX08 and I never bought the Mars Toys copy of it. Can't really afford to track one down either. My DX08 will remain from the Parade scene as it is afterall the most important look.

Still not sure what I’ll end up with on display. I’ve got two DX08s, one in trencher one without, and a Mars copy. The Mars will be a museum version but I really want a pre melty museum version along with that awesome laughing melty sculpt on the shelf.

UPDATE:

So it’s been a while since I’ve looked at my Mars Toys Joker vest, I sold my whole figure a long time ago and just got parts instead. Dino sent me a photo of his tie on the Mars Joker and it didn’t match the vest so I dug out my Mars vest to compare with HT’s and sure enough…it’s way different in color. More blue than green.



His tie color is based off HT’s vest which is what I’m using for now. Here is a pic of Dino’s tie on the Mars figure. Not a huge deal especially considering the usual Joker tie that came with the Mars figure doesn’t match the vest either but I wanted all here to be aware of the color difference if you’re not using a Hot Toys vest



If this will be a problem for anyone please let me know. I still think it looks good and personally will be dying my Mars vest green to be more screen accurate anyway since that bright blue just doesn’t look good. I don’t want Dino to try and match that color but he said he’s willing to try although it will delay him mailing them out.

I’m using the Hot Toys so that’s perfect for me.

I'm also using HT vest so happy to see the color match is perfect.

Sorry, I only have the Mars vest and I would like my tie to match the vest. If I’m the only one, can he just make one?

Not a problem to me, I'm fortunate enough to have both.

Dammit, it’s gona drive me crazy knowing they’re the wrong colors! How easy is it to dye?

Anyone know the right dye color to make the Mars vest match?

I’ll do my best to sort out the dye for the Mars vest when I do mine and post a tutorial. I just don’t want that bright blue vest and tie on any of my Jokers.

Plus that vest should more closely match the green stripes in his pants too. Not sure why Mars got the pants right and the vest wrong.

I’m waiting on a custom run for my main ‘89 and will use my Mars Joker as a Museum!

I’m going to let Dino know to ship what he’s got. Seems like most are using the HT set and those who aren’t, myself included for one of his looks, can dye the vest closer in color to the tie.

I can't wait to get the tie so I set up melty face Joker.

Was the tailoring on the first Mars Joker figure comparable to Hot Toys? And does the DX08 head work on the Mars body?

If I did track down the Mars version of DX08 I could use that as my Parade Joker since I would have the coat clasped at the front, hiding the incorrectly coloured vest and I would convert DX08 into Museum/Partyman Joker - but only if the tailoring on the Mars figure was of acceptable standard and if the actual HT DX08 head works on the Mars body
