Wow and what a price jump. $40 more for the engineering kit and some extra hands? That seems excessive.
Considering that Data came with an extra head sculpt for the same price, I agree.

For this La Forge offering, there doesn’t seem to be that much added value to justify two versions. The kit should be included as a sole option.

I just think it’s ridiculous that we’re asked to pay that much more for what should be an essential accessory.

I get that costs have been rising on everything but it just doesn’t seem like for what we’re getting two versions are warranted and a $40 price hike seems like a lot.

Can’t wait for this trend to continue. 🙄

Totally agree with all these points... but it's also the only TNG Geordi we'll ever see so I'm ok paying the higher price on this. Since I get tired of posing these figures with only a phaser or tricorder and will take any new accessory I can get.

And good thing is I can share the engineering tools with B'Ellana as well.

getting in ripping fans off territory ... felt the same when I paid the price difference on Savik with the coat .
That one didn’t bother me as much. The coat is nice and cool to have but to me at least is more of an extra item and not essential. I opted for Saavik with the coat but could have skipped it and been okay with just getting the normal (“Essential”) figure.

Ouch! I don’t think I can justify the extra cost of the standard - c’mon Exo, change this stupid name around - edition. Regular version has just enough I think
The names for the different editions bother me so much. Standard implies basic, when the product you are ordering is actually the deluxe option. The reasoning for why it's not called that being that this is actually what the figures need to come with and therefore not really deluxe, doesn't change the fact that compared to the Essential barebones edition, it is deluxe.

It truly is stupid. Like such a minor thing but so ass backwards. Should just be Standard and Deluxe.

That face sculpt almost looks unfinished. Like it just came out of the printer and was painted immediately.
Yeah I was saying that before too. And just like with their other black characters, there doesn't seem to be any variation in skin tone. Just the one dark brown color sprayed over the entire head.

The thought is that any TRUE fan/collector will need the version that includes everything, hence “Standard”. And for troglodytes that are only passing or casual fans who are (just to keep it real) unworthy of the title “fan” can still have a lesser product so they can run off in their obvious inferiority and be written off as undesirable. 🤣🤣🤣

In other words, it’s 100% a mind game that could, potentially at least, push a handful of shoppers to go with the Standard Edition (you know, like a TRUE fan)…

All I know is that it worked on me! The only Essentials piece I own is Captain Sisko, and I already regret it! 😬😬😬

💯💯💯 this looks like Toy Biz Marvel Legends skin tone. I understand he doesn’t have the sculpt game or paint game down, but damn, that dark chocolate tone just lathered on the figure is not good. The hands looks really dark-er than the HS! Sisko looked better imo. Maybe they just have a jar of “African American” for paint. 😂
