I have the same issue with the hammer touching the leg. I have tried to adjust the position of the hammer and no matter what, it just rests on the thigh.

Well, just a perception or definition. He is definitely a classier commander out in the battlefield. In my opinion, a warrior would be more suited to a type like King Leonidas. Or probably I watched too much of the movie "300"...:rotfl

If I had to choose, I think adding a cape would be most ideal. To give the human figure a slightly grander look. Overall, it is still excellent. I am just afraid that it may look like a normal soldier on a horse. Then again, we have not seen the painted prototype. As for the base, keep it...

Excellent sculpture of a horse! One of the best poses I have ever seen in 1/6 or 1/4 scale. As for Alexander, he looks light on armor. Overall, he does not give me the vibe of a conqueror...something seems to be lacking or missing...cape? helmet? spear? shield?
