They’ve been having pop-up shops inside Kinokuniya Bookstore’s US locations for several years now already. They also recently did a pop up shop at Anime Jungle in Los Angeles apparently.
Man, I remember being quite disappointed I missed out on the Batman preorder window because I was at work. Then they did the bait and switch from the fabric suit with armor plates to the rubber bendy body. Then it’s taken 3 years with virtually no updates and a couple really crummy looking...
That’s not from Monster Zero (1965, aka Invasion of Astro Monster but I prefer the original English title). That’s the Godzilla 1964 “B” suit from Ghidrah the Three Headed Monster. Two totally different suits.
Ironically, the Rodan in this set is NOT the 1965 suit but actually the (entirely...
Wow that’s a killer price for those two! I’ve already got the original releases of both or I’d be all over it. I’m pretty sure I paid close to that just for Rodan. The Godzilla is easily one of X-plus’ best in the 25cm series. It’s a stupendous sculpt and a wonderfully dynamic pose.
I’ve been waiting for Mafex or SHF to come out with a The Batman. This looks pretty good. Not sure about what looks to be a plastic upper piece to the cape…

^That’s what killed this thing for me before it even started. I couldn’t care less about the tier unlocks. The rancor itself actually looks great except they ruined it by articulating the FACE (wtf hasbro?) instead of the head. And then they went and used rubbery parts (something they’ve also...
If it’s that popular they’ll very likely reissue it. They’re still doing fresh runs of the Nolan trilogy figures and some of popular Star Wars figures from time to time.
Regarding the holes in the cape, look very carefully. It wouldn’t surprise me if the reissue omitted them, but on my original release they are really tiny and very easy to overlook before inserting the wing poles for the first time.
Obviously preventing the peeling in the first place is ideal, but has anyone tried to repair it? Seems like it would be possible (especially if you catch it early and it’s not too big of an area). There’s lots of info/products out there to repair peeling pleather. The results don’t look too...
