Pity about the height issue, but she still looks like an awesome figure nonetheless. That head sculpt is just fantastic!

Thanks, I snapped those photos in Pro mode on my phone, but they pale in comparison to the more talented members on this forum! But yeah, the major takeaway is that the sculpt is amazing. The fact that it still looks so good even on a cell phone quality shot is a testament of the great work HT did.

I think you and I are one of the few people on the board that value/emphasize the importance of sculpt/actor likeness...I mean, it's what HT is known for and what they pride themselves in and it's why we, the customers, pay a premium for these figures.

Yeah, the likeness on Hela is without a doubt a 10. I was initially put off by the shoulder joints, however with some clever posing that issue can definitely be remedied. Also, the height of this figure is another issue, but you really don't realize it until you have her with other figs...but once again, that can be fixed with clever placement.

Although speaking of height, gotta say HT did drop the ball on that. I mean, she's almost as tall as Thor is in the film...

I can honestly say, the entire reason I have Hot Toys is the actor likeness. Even Spidey in my collection is the Tom Holland head. The likes of the Sideshow (non-MCU) figures don't interest me in the least.

I’m assuming it’s the same Black Widow body they’ve been using for (basically) every female figure since 2013 with the first Avengers version. That’s the main issue since the body is meant for ScarJo’s 5’3”, so for someone like Daisy Ridley who’s 5’7” or Cate who’s 5’9”, you’re gonna have some scaling issues.

In all fairness the pic above from the movie Thor isn’t standing straight up. In real life she comes up to about his nose. That’s exactly where the top of her head is next to my Roadworn Thor

Yeah it's usually either the BW body or the smaller bust version they used for Pepper and Training Rey. Although sometimes they'll still give figures longer ankle pegs to make them a bit taller, so it's odd that they didn't do that here.

That's true, but he's also wearing boots which would give him a bit of a boost. I'm thinking the body from the Selina Kyle figure figure might have been a better choice than the one they gave her.

The guy said he is making 2 versions... One out if resin to capture the skin texture for $300 USD and a PVC version for $100 USD ($6 tracked shipping for both).

He appears to be only taking orders via his Facebook account, so I cannot provide an order link... I'll post a link to his account when I get out of work.
