Where are you guys seeing the page for this? When I go to the home page all I’m seeing is deals. I tried searching but it didn’t come up either.

That's just one of the most bizarre things I've ever read. Your world view is er... hard to understand (being polite again). Entitlement doesn't come into it. The cost of the figure is finite and paid once by the retailer to the wholesaler. It doesn't matter how 'rare' it becomes or how sought after, the retail price doesn't change. They don't charge you extra in the supermarket when you're hungry. The selling price is contingent on the buying price, anything else is extortion. I mean actual extortion - in the dictionary definition of the word.
Scalpers are not part of the retail chain. They buy a product they don't want personally to stop you buying it. Then they sell it to you for a premium despite adding no value and incurring no costs. Of course people are pleased when a figure is re-released or a variant issued that stops them from doing this. They're disliked for a good reason.

New collectors join this hobby every day. I've only been collecting since May. You may have had time to buy 14 stormtroopers but someone else might not have. The longer stock is available to collectors from retailers the better. The price doesn't go up at a retailer. Why would it? As I said before prices are fixed to buying costs, not how much they think a person wants something. That way you would be paying £200 for a kebab on Friday night...
I bought my Iron Man Mark 46 from a retailer two months ago for £450. The price on Ebay is nearly double that.

Sweet, $189 for the regular? Just may have to do that... I know he’s a ROTJ version, but it looks close enough to a ESB version to me to go alongside my ESB Vader. Of course, now the dilemma is do I keep or sell my SS desert sands trooper? I still really like him but he wouldn’t really follow the ESB theme I’m thinking about going for in 1/6...

Really can’t believe the deluxe is that high. I was thinking maybe $220 tops. I guess the base makes it more desirable but still. I was thinking of getting two deluxe, but now I’ll probably just go one regular and possibly a deluxe. Might just go for two regulars.

So you are arguing that demand should never affect the price of goods no matter how old or scarce? That a potential seller should take less money than what others are willing to pay because the original retail price should be respected? Good luck with that one guy
I mean just think about that and how ridiculous it actually is.Also fyi, some retailers do in fact raise the price of hot figures they have in stock.

Just because you “started collecting in may” you should be paying the same prices everyone else did when they collected far earlier and pre ordered and somehow that’s other people’s fault?

Yeah, totally agree. I seem to have a bit of DeJaVu. We've already had this discussion somewhere else.
The alternate stand background is thick and square in the pic and looks like it's plastic, not cardboard. I wonder if it's somehow reversible. One side is the lighted wall, the other is the regular wall??

Solid lit wall with on/off switch on the back where the unlit wall insert slides in. The trooper Han’s wall has little tabs on the back where you can see where the insert fits. Reuse of the same wall.
