I put Thor above this but neither one are good. Neither one are on the same level as the Bucky sculpt. It’s a shame because Evans was overdue for a better sculpt

That sculpt doesn’t look anything like Evans, or even have the correct expression.

Personally I think this head sculpt is getting way to hard a time. I can see the likeness.

I don’t see it as being much different to the Infinity Thor HS, which seems to be getting a massive pass! There are angles with that one where it looks nothing like Hemsworth. It’s lucky to be aided by the eye patch.

I agree that IW Thor isn't a 10/10 like some of Hot Toy's recent home runs...however what made me ultimately get IW Thor was that the eye patch really improves the likeness. Otherwise, yes, I'd be inclined to agree that it's not super duper amazing.

It's crazy that a C-tier list hero like Bucky gets an A+ head sculpt, meanwhile an A-tier list hero like Cap gets a C level head sculpt. :slap

Bucky needed a new head sculpt CW way too generic Caucasian guy (C-list really? My fav MCU character:monkey3).
Lol well he sure as hell ain't the same level as Cap or Iron Man.

Seems to have taken a while to get Tony and Steve right anyway, tho am happy w. all my Caps. They didn't need to put out perfect DS and Wanda headsculpts out of the gate but they did.:google

I'd rather wait for Bucky and Shuri production paint to really judge. Look what happened to poor Finn when the sculpt changed last minute.

Iron Spider aside, I've found the Infinity War line to be very underwhelming thus far, particularly with the head sculpts. Cap, Black Widow & Thor all have very little wow factor, imo.

Thankfully there's still some potentially amazing stuff on the horizon (Bucky, Strange, Thanos etc). Just hope HT don't mess around with them between now and release.

Agreed. When this movie was first announced I recall we all prepared for the worst...the Hot Toys reckoning. I thought the new Cap and Black Widow would be must-haves because of their drastic change in appearance, but in the end it was a major letdown. I skipped BW and I'm heavily leaning towards pass with Cap. IW Thor is great...but only with the eye patch.

I wonder if it's because of a shorter turn around and trying to get as many figures out as possible.

To me, he may be a C-Class hero, but he was an A-Class Villain. [emoji16] The Winter Soldier movie is still my favorite Marvel movie.

The Eleven sculpt is getting closer. Definitely picking that up. I don't have much of a problem with the HT sculpt but i feel this figure needs an aggressive expression.

Not sure who this person is, it certainly isn't Chris Evans.

For me it didn't help wasn't wild about the movie...and then while IM looked cool on screen, for my shelf like the beefier early IMs (plus IM expensive + accessory pack:(). Like "classic Thor" w. long hair and I have Roadworn Thor. Don't collect Guardians and Groot seems to have been an issue re breakage. Seems like HT won't release Outriders (which I really want) or Black Order???

The list got whittled down:cool:...if I can swing it, I'll PO War Machine - really liked the armor, don't have WM, and liked Rhodey acting military and working independent of Tony for a change. For me Bucky and Cap were never a question, but everyone else is. After getting Concept Art in, still back to debating canceling IW Cap. *Argh*.:gah:

Not just sculpt but not wild about the vinyl? costume material. Never pictured that for this fig. Thought HT would just use dyed, torn CW uniform with a scale vinyl undershirt.

Edit:
A review from France w. some nice closeups. Don't speak French but ~11:46 the guy mentions Rick Grimes.

LOL if I were in another galaxy using hand signals to talk to aliens they'd probably show me a hologram of this fig and Rick Grimes.

I have CW Cap and I won't order this, but in my opinion sculpt is good (actually best cap sculpt HT has done).

So those who have ordered, enjoy this figure.

True. There are a few people on here who would complain if someone shrunk the actual actor in the actual suit down and froze them into a figure - they would find something wrong. They don't seem to take into consideration that these films have come out over a decade or so, in that time actors have aged 10 years, and they're going to look a little different. Also there's expressions - some head sculpts pretty much nail one expression the actor had, and sometimes it's not necessarily an iconic expression - which I admit can be disappointing. I myself can see what I consider to be minor issues with the sculpt, but frankly it's pretty good and I doubt 99 percent of the people on here (and perhaps 100% of the people criticizing these sculpts) could certainly not do any better. Sometimes it's frustration because they had an expectation that wasn't met. Sometimes it's just jealousy. And some... ahem... people just aren't happy unless they're constantly criticizing other people's work because it makes them feel better about themselves to tear others down. I used to think that it was mostly kids on here who were often the most verbal because of some of the things that came out of their heads, but lets just say people mature at different ages - sometimes 14, sometimes 44, sometimes never, 'nuf said on that.

All in all, I don't really care what anyone else thinks. It's not a perfect head sculpt, very few are what I would consider perfect (and anyone going looking for flaws are going to find some because even the actors themselves aren't perfect and have blemishes, and the make-up may be on one way one day and another way the next, or the lighting may be different, etc. etc.), but it's a decent one, and if something about a sculpt bothers me enough, I'm one of those who has the talent to fix it and will fix it. Nothing bothers me that much on this one.

PS - I forgot this while writing, but one thing I will say I don't like about it is the jagged seam on the back of the head. I don't think it was necessary to do it that way, and in my opinion it does look ugly. In fact, it is so ugly I probably will fix that seam because it does bother me that much. Ironically, neck and joint seams don't bother me like they do some people, but this one was unnecessary to do the way they did it, and I think it was laziness or to save some $ on Hot Toys' part, because they've done plenty of hair seams for add-on parts before and I don't recall any of them ever being this ugly - they really don't have any excuse as far as I can see, except they were cutting corners. But that aside, and for the sculpt itself, no major issues - it's a decent sculpt.

LMAO...I read your unnecessarily long post and you sure do a helluva job contradicting yourself.

Here's a condensed version of what you wrote:

YOU HAVE EXPECTATIONS THAT WEREN'T MET AND YOU CAN'T DO ANY BETTER SO STOP COMPLAINING...ALSO, PS: I'M GONNA COMPLAIN ABOUT THE UNSIGHTLY SEAM ON THE BACK OF THE HAIR BECAUSE IT REALLY BOTHERS ME.

Hilariously hypocritical! :rotfl

Thinkin of getting Cap over Loki. Not sure why but after seeing both final pics I like Cap better and cant afford Cap, Loki and Iron Spider I’m top of my thanos & Iron Man 50

So to summarize your point:

So you don't like complaining, unless its complaining about something you think its worth complaining about. Then you say the figure has seams in the hair that are "ugly", "lazy" and "unnecessary". But hey there are a 'few' people here who would always find something to complain about, cause....maturity.

:slap Your post will forever haunt me now when I gaze upon this figure.
