Jim Lee is my favourite Batman artist and why I was hoping Sideshow would do a PF based on his work rather than this mishmash of styles they've come up with.

You and me both.

Same! Still thinking of getting p1 1/3 but damn. Too fn huge lol

My only PO is the P1 Batman Hush EX statue. I made the WL and was very happy when they improved the pose.

That's one he'll of a Batman statue with one hell of a price tag! Unless I hit lotto, I think I will have to skip it - too bad!

It really isn't that hugely different from the 1:4 scale prices anymore.

I mean if you can afford ~$600+ for a 1:4 scale, then I guess I just have a hard time believing the same person can't afford ~$1,000+ for a 1:3 scale.

For what they are let's face it; they're all crazy prices lol. I'm just saying I tend to think if you're a person whose willing to pay the 1:4 prices, I really don't think the 1:3 prices are going to break you.

I agree, as I have recently purchased my first 1/3....

Unless you're a person who can only afford 1 statue a year, as there are all sorts of collectors. I myself buy too much, but that's my choice.

Heck there are a lot of collectors who scream and rant at the prices of the Hot Toys figures on the other threads, and they can be significantly lower than statue prices.

They've got a point though, it's sickening the prices some people will pay for sixth scale figures

Recently I just wish we could get comparative actor quality facesculpts on Sideshows 'production' statues.

Though the recently released Harley wasn't too bad, and I'm optimistic about the new Aquaman.

Harley wasn't bad but not a home run IMO. If Aquaman turns out close to the proto then it will be a must have for me. I generally don't get movie based pieces and likeness is a big reason for that, as well as the fact that comic pieces age better IMO. The only movie piece I have on order is the prime 1 justice league wonder woman, and I already have the gentle giant black widow because some statues are too good to pass up

Yep I've got those two pieces as well. I've actually got all 6 Justice League pieces on preorder.

And comic based pieces may age the best, but honestly in my collection the only pieces I regret are usually the comic based ones. And keep mind I don't really care all that much about resale value either.

It still confuses me why SSC always makes Batman bigger than anyone else in the group. They did that in the original group ...and they did that again here.

At times, I think someone at SSC must really believe Batman is just a bruiser with high-tech toys. Rather than a skilled, smart and agile fighter like Captain America.

ugh I can't believe people can look at this Batman and think it looks passable, just so much wrong with it. He looks more like the Hunchback of Notre Dame than Batman.

While their GA and Wonder Woman look fantastic.

ugh

GA and Wonder Woman look near flawless...assuming the production pieces match those prototypes. Superman and Green Lantern have some issues namely Supes chin and base, GL's construct, but overall still look very good.

It's just Batman they really dropped the ball on. Shame as the rest of the line and what's to come has so much potential.

Still, I have the 1/3 Hush Batman to look forward to but that wait for a truly great sculpted 1/4 Batman goes on. :(

More than ok and ordered.

On size, Batmans the only one without godlike power or a bow. More cubic inches makes more power, period. The size argument was made on the first pf and the modern variant as well.

Be curious to do a size comparison to the original pf, bicep - chest - thigh to see...

I thought a lot of people just accepted that the original Batman PF was oversized?

It didn't really bother me as I have him in a Besta pretty much by himself. But if I had him in a row with others it might be a different story.

If memory serves me correctly people said the same thing about him being on the larger size (not oversized) but it was the first pf and most really didn't care. The modern variant especially so but people still got it.

This will be my stand alone Batman so it'll work in the same regard as does yours.

Probably once he is in hand, he will be more appreciated. I take him over the new Captain America.
