Does anyone have a technique for hiding joints like this with some sort of epoxy, rubber overlay or clay?

Good lord, Hot Toys just cannot win with people... shoulder joints? Complain. Rubber body? Complain.
Complain, Complain, Complain.

No one can just be happy with a kick-ass looking figure anymore.

For the caped look, I'm going to experiment with tucking the cape tabs under her suit (i.e., closer to her neck) rather than in the slots under her breast armor. If it doesn't work (or looks bad) I'll revert to HT's method and not lose sleep over it, but that could help hide the joints for some poses.

I'm thinking about shooting for the pose I want (I don't change them too much) and then sculpting out some thin "shoulder pads" to insert over the seams. Matching paint shouldn't be too rough; I'll take fixing Hela's shoulders over Ultron's eyes any day.

The more I see the final proto pics with a lot of them with her hands up by her head I can see how it was a good idea to have the joints. Posing her like that with a seamless body would in time mess it up. I’d rather have shoulder joints and a head sculpt as good as this vs a seamless body with a head sculpt that is way off ie: WW

It's one of the trademark qualities of a true nerd: COMPLAIN! :lol

True nerds can never be fully satisfied.

I don't own Ultron...what was wrong with his eyes?

With sculpy or a rubber mixture? I'm thinking a silicone overlay if I can get the color just right.

Got my shipping soon notice. :yess: Pleasantly surprised, as I received very late delay notices for both T'Chaka and Concept Art Cap. I was worried Hela was going to make it a trifecta of bad news.

Why would anyone blob sculpey onto a beautiful figure like this?
I'm sorry, to each his own… but that makes ZERO sense to me, with how much these figures cost. :slap

The existing sculpture is great, the shoulders are very much not. I took to HT figures because they brought a level of detail and realism that 1/4 scale polystone had not for all my years of collecting. IMO that realism is skewed when I have to look at garish articulation points (eg. GotG Thanons elbows).

In this case, HT is getting me 90% of the way with the stock Hela. Experience with sculpting and paint will get me the rest of the way with the pose that I'm looking for.
