Imagine if they where.

He would have to do a little scuttle with his feet as it turned and he would have looked ridiculous :)

The proportions look fine for this.

I am excited for its arrival.

Actually someone posted a few pages back about Ian Mcdiarmid having to use his feet to turn the chair in that scene because the motor was too fast.

Dangling feet don't look bad here.

Looks great, but for me, the smiling doesn't work when he's sitting down. Don't know why, it just feels wrong.

Going through the screencaps there is a moment where he smiles like that in the chair, but I think it probably helps that his head was always in shadow while he was seated. I've noticed that any time this sculpt is brightly lit up it looks a whole lot less creepy.

That's more of the teeth-gritted, sarcastic/mocking thing he does. The smile HT did does have more of that yearbook (ie. being asked to smile) look, but yeah - harsh, darker lighting really really helps sell it.

The robe may be pretty underwhelming, but you really couldn't have asked for a more ultra-realistic rendering of both Palps and his throne. It's incredible what HT is capable of in terms of sculpt detail and paint apps. I just really wish that the expression they chose more closely nailed the vibe of Palps.

And as has been said ad-nauseum, truly sad they didn't go with two sculpts - it's such an obvious thing for this character. The alternate might have been that bullseye that nailed his look.

Those that want(ed) to lower the throne, wouldn’t it look a bit odd? Just going off of Kylo’s shot of him properly seated. Any lower would seem off. Then again I’m just going off of pics here... won’t be in hand til BBTS ships or most likely 2019 :gah:

You can get a decent 1:1 chair for this 1:6 throne's price, just saying :lol

with $320 for the whole set I could probably buy something much more useful for my life..but no would rather spent it on the dolly :D, such a pathetic loser am I :)

I've seen one of may images has already been posted but defo need to futz with it more, but over all very happy with the figure.

After several attempts with the hairspray, and putting the undergarment back on, I finally have the hood of the cloak in a manner that I feel is acceptable.

Someone on here the other day said that the body of the cloak looks like a “sack of potatoes”, and I think they’re kind of right. So I’m trying with hairspray to add some wrinkling onto the cloak, let’s see how it goes ...
