It's pics like this that make it clear we've been spoiled with 1/6 Vaders to the point we can't just step back and say "that looks pretty damn good."

Damn you. Because of this pic, I just ordered both the death trooper and death trooper specialist from eBay. Your pic looks so badass. Will pose one with My current Kylo Ren and the other with this ESB Vader. Don’t care if not correct lol.

Whelp my UPS mychoice updated this morning and both my Vader and Fett got delayed till tomorrow instead of being delivered today. First world problems, but man why does it seem like this **** always happens on the more anticipated releases?? Really annoyed.

I think the same for me. It was scheduled for today and now it says tentative. I bet it gets bumped to tomorrow.

It was made by Unreal Toys! I got it last year for my RO Vader, but it works with this ESB figure as well. He’s here on the forum and Instagram under the same name. Give him a message if you’re interested!

So looking at all these pics other freaks have posted of the Hot Toys ESB Vader, I could not help but feel it looked familiar:



The pic on the left is courtesy of Kylo Ren,the pic on the right is my Sideshow ROTJ Vader head modified with the much larger Hot Toys Rogue One dome. To me this combination looks eerily similar to the newer Hot toys ESB Vader head sculpt.

I remember alot of people complained the Sideshow mouth was too large, perhaps not after all? Originally the Sideshow's smaller dome may have exaggerated the effect, because it looks fine to me, and more proportional with the Hot toys rogue One dome.

Nice work on your custom Bobby!...This comparison with SS really highlights the flaws of the HT mask...bags under the eye lens,underscaled nose and overscaled mouth...really do mirror that awful SS mask...which for me is the worst ever made in 1/6...
If this had been HT first go at vader we might be more forgiving...but when comparing it with previous HT vader versions the flaws become more apparent and makes it more of a disappointment..

Just wanted to post a couple pics with the Unreal Customs wired cape. The wires at the front edges even more so won’t let the head look down, but it’s still such a great cape:

Yeah, great review. Though anytime the ESB is next to another hot toys Vader it instantly shows just how off that helmet is.

Horrible futzing on both figures -- considering their chest gear is the exact opposite of how it should look.

People here are fans of Vader and yet they clearly have no idea how he should look. Watched too many cartoons and comics clearly.

I can't wait to get this Vader in. I love the ANH with Rogue one gloves that I have but I need one for each Original Trilogy movie. All the pictures where Vader is futzed properly look amazing. I have no doubt I will be pretty happy with him. I am not going to join up in "helmet gate". I might see if I can mod the neck a bit to get his head to sit more naturally on his body though. Can't wait to get him on a shelf and properly posed.

I agree .The only thing slightly off with RO (and all the ANH's) is the dome shape and neck, but ESB is even worse in that respect

The body has nothing wrong with it except the slightly too big cod piece.. It's tall and well proportionned, the suit isn't baggy at the crotch and elbows, gloves are nice,the cape is amazing, the inner robes are nice...
