Soon people will want the box the shipper is in to be mint fresh.

And the plastic bag to not have that "crunched up a bunch of times" look.

I prefer my junk is handled by employees named Savannah or Crystal myself.

Sounds like they might leave jelly-like residue or something sticky on the shipper box. I'd go with David or Leon.

I demanded UPS deliver my Hot Toys in the morning, before the driver has his lunch break. Can't have mayo residue from his sandwich on his fingers contaminating my shipper.

That's not the same thing though, is it?
The aren't slapping a shipping label on the art box.

That is precisely the point I'm making. The backer card protects the figure, and you're buying the figure, so why would you be upset if the backer card is damaged?

It's like when they packed those Vintage Collection figures in the clamshell. You'd want one with an unblemished clamshell, right?

I just see it as, "if you don't care about the shipper, why would you care about the art box? The figure is what you're after." That's a slippery slope that I just don't want to deal with.

However it was packed in the case, give it to me like that.

What can I say? There's value in a mint shipper.

I see it as 'case fresh', just like when they pull Hasbro figures out of a case. You wouldn't ship a 3-3/4" figure by slapping a shipping label on the backer card.

The irony of your logic is that you open a hasbro case to get the boxed figure, the exact same way the HT's figures come... so really the equivalency would be a case of ML being packed out. if thats your kink then whatevs, but thats not the same thing

Yeah, I think that's closer. The shipper doesn't show you anything. A figure in it's card can be a display, maybe the way the art box is for some. I could care less about the art box outside of its usefulness in packaging the figure up if need be, but the shipper is also nice for storage purposes as it takes up no extra room, and for if I ever end up selling the figure -- don't need to track down a box to ship it in. Unless Swedish wins my auction. :horror

That's not mayo!

I guess Savannah or Crystal were riding shotgun in that UPS truck...

Hahaha. You guys. Looks like I missed all the action while I was sleeping !

Watched ROTJ last night - funny how having an impending figure really makes you (well me) pay much more attention to the costume details. I must have seen the film hundreds of times over the years and never once noticed that pouch on his belt.
He spends far more time in the poncho than the cloak, which only gets a minute or two while confronting Jabba then is immediately ditched in the Rancor pit.
I also hadn't noticed before how briefly the front flap on his tunic is down, I always thought of that as the iconic look for Jedi Luke but it's only really there as he's dragging Vader to the shuttle right at the end...
Anyway, ramble over, pretty sure you guy are aware of these and much more!

I don't think so.

You get a case of Marvel Legends, you open it up, and you have 12 boxed figures, right?

You open a Hot Toys case and there's 6 boxed figures, right? Sometimes 2, sometimes 4, but usually 6.

The only difference between the two is that the Hot Toys figures have an additional outer box, but that's the individual selling unit inside the case. And that's what I'm buying.

Yep I’m the same way. It’s funny after I got the Luke in disguise figure I paid close attention and noticed when TK-421 goes up the Falcon ramp you can see the grapple hook thing on his belt which none of the other troopers seem to have. Pretty cool but just something I’d never paid attention to before. HT’s detail is amazing.

Been trying different poses, I know not 100% screen accurate but going with this one! Really happy with it!

Ha - I noticed the same thing for the first time when I watched it last week! Quite impressive continuity really. This is the beauty of having these movies on blu-ray, there are probably loads more little details to discover (I really wish they'd release the original versions though).
Anyway, very much looking forward to receiving this figure and squaring him off against Vader in my detolf...

Me too! My favorite trilogy and now I have to fast forward thru part of Jedi because of the stupid music scene.
