Unless you have some skills I wouldn’t try it. Chances are you remove some of the skin tone as well. Which can be fixed if you have the skill to paint it. But it’s a risk.

So how would one go about removing the red paint?

It looks to me like the head is a separate piece from the neck. If that's the case the neck would still have the red paint on it.

I wonder if the IW Head will be manufactured the same way this one is meaning will the hair be a separate piece?

They may not be intentionally be separate with a magnet but if it’s essentially the same head and haircut with no red paint it makes sense for them to do it this way so they don’t have to retool.

It would be a nice surprise to be able to heat up and pop off the top of the head to don the gladiator helmet or any helmet of your choosing.

Umm...wont the IW head have the eye patch though? How will you use it for this figure.

Eye patch is removable on the IW Thor, but I think the eyes have different color from a pic that was posted in the IW thread.

I really wish they had bothered with a second headsculpt. Only reason I didn’t order this. It’s pribably my favorite Thor outfit so far, just that dam paint wasn’t in it for any length.

And tho I preordered him, I’m also annoyed that Loki doesn’t come with the big gun. It’s almost as if they didn’t want these figures to go with each other on purpose lol

I feel that it is a bit of a waste to focus on the gladiatorial scene for Hulk and Thor. While it was heavily featured in the previews it was only a short scene in the movie. If they had gone through several fights in the arena it would make a bit more sense. On the other hand we do already have plenty of non-scene specific Thor figures to choose from for the other movies so it helps to set this one apart.

Thing is that gun would be pointless to give loki anyway because it was the blue loki (sakar) that did that scene. This loki is the green version.
