I guess I am just seeing things then.
Odd that they don't say new sculpt even though the hair has been resculpted. They only say new sculpt if the face itself changes?

Well they did mention the hair is resculpted. Lol
I thought the upper lip looked like a new shape but it must just be the way they contoured it with the paint. The fact they just said new hair and new paint makes it pretty clear what it is, I think.

Crazy how much they can alter the look of a sculpt by changing the paint job.
I don’t believe it’s only different paint. I refuse!

The movie-accurate collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange in the movie, featuring a newly developed head sculpt, sophisticatedly tailored and highly detailed outfit, two styles of costume display options with a magnetically attachable asymmetrical high-collared Cloak of Levitation with intricate embroidery, a variety of mystical artifacts including the Eye of Agamotto, a pair of sling rings, an array of accessories including variety of interchangeable hands and numerous mystic art effect as well as mandalas of lights allowing combinations for different mystic gestures and a movie themed dynamic figure stand with character backdrop.

The Sideshow page actually says both. Description says new sculpt, details say newly painted.
I mean, there are clear differences in the shape of some of the features, especially the chin, mouth, and eyebrows, so let’s trust our eyes on this that it is a new sculpt.

That’s the problem..those differences can be done with paint. Especially with a master painter. Hard to trust your eyes.
Look it may well be a new sculpt. But it also could just be a new paint job.
Oh I know, but we all pretty much thought it looked like a new sculpt before the product details were listed. I’m saying trust our instincts.

Sold out on BBTS already? Wow, faster even than Deadpool 2.0 I think. Glad I was able to snag one, damn that was fast.
Everything seems to be selling out rather quickly on BBTS. Can't be just due to having no NRD and $4 shipping.
Wonder if SS is allocating less to 3rd party retailers and keeping a larger quantity for themselves. Makes sense as they make more profit selling direct and I'm sure since the MCU is still growing in popularity that more and more new collectors are discovering these every day.
Was gonna PO at BBTS but decided to wait. Plenty of places to get this from. And I still prefer from SS direct. The rewards kinda offsets the cheaper BBTS shipping anyway. Unless you order a lot and take advantage of their pile of loot system which is great.

Yeah, that makes sense.
Timewalker talked about this on of the threads but i can't remember which one. Anyway he did say that 3rd party retailers are limited on the amount they can get. So for example if HT made 10,000 of these for SS then SS might let 3,000 go to 3rd party sellers (I'm making up the numbers).
Divide that up between all the resellers and that's not much, maybe BBTS being so big might get 1,000 (again making up numbers).
