This was probably meant to be a DX since it looks like Endor Luke will have parts that should've been included with this figure... poncho, gloved hands, helmet, alt. head.

Are the old SS figures hands compatible with HT figures? Looking at pics, he came with one black gloved hand that could hold his lightsaber.

I still have the original SS Exclusive Jedi Luke from way back. Po'd it and have had it since it's release but never opened it. Quite a few older SS SW figures I never opened. Including both versions of Anakin too.
Medicom Gloved hand on the left. Sideshow hand in the middle. HT Luke hand on the right.

You can see how much bigger the SS hands are. Unless you’re ok with Luke looking like Hellboy I would suggest HT or Medicom Luke hands.

Medi comes with a saber holding gloved hand and a relaxed gloved hand. Not bad but a bit of modification is required to accommodate the HT wrist pegs.

I love the belt! About time a company used magnets and a velcro system at the back.

I also love other accessories: blaster, wounded hand, and the dynamic saber effect.

I however am glad that I kept my custom Luke. IMHO there is not a big difference in the boots, tailoring looks a bit puffy in this one (my set is mainly Medicom clothes) and I have plenty of black gloved hands and a Cold Cathode lightsaber... paint apps look superb on this one though, and the sculpt is an upgrade from any Luke we've seen so far.

I will try to get parts on this one.

Uhm... I would bet that the hair is removable, it seems to be a separate piece from the headsculpt... it could be great to get a different hairpiece for a dynamic pose, maybe with the Endor set?

Looks like there may be a run on Medicom Jedi Luke as well for that relaxed gloved hand. It’s a little small but much better proportioned than sideshows banana hand.

That and the Sideshow Rancor Pit bone, the other glaring omission from this set.:lecture:lol

What's with the padded undersuit, Hot Toys? It's not like Luke was sporting that 'just got out of carbonite' waistline or anything... :p

Figure looks great!:panic:...but i'm not a fan of the 'fly swatter' lightsaber..

Yeah, it looks a bit anti-climactic but maybe the "wailing down on a fallen Vader" pose - where Luke is furiously swinging in that very action-y pose - might bring it to life more, as well as with the lighting better.

I was expecting this to be on par with the amazing Tarkin and Hoth Leia figures. I know pictures and in-hand tell a different story, but this appears to leave some room for the Sideshow version--with all of the additional accessories--to steal some glory.

Thanks for the reminder, that robe is getting rinsed and wrung out a few times as soon as it arrives.

Is that how people wash out the extra dye? I was debating rinsing and wringing the robe on my new Anakin, but was worried it would dry wrinkled and look weird.

I'm happy as long as I don't have to stuff cotton balls in his crotch.

Memba dat?

Yup... that short buck was not a pretty body; not that any of the bucks were... but it was the time we lived in :lol

I was still blown away by the figure when I got it and left it mostly unaltered for years. I think the first big thing I did to improve him was give him Ki Adi Mundi's body since they fixed the long forearms. And then gave Mundi a normal sized body so he didn't look so top heavy with that giant noggin :lol

Yep. I did the exact same thing. I also had mine repainted by FigureMasterLes. Remember him? I wonder what he is up to. Talk about totally dropping off the radar.
