So now that we know Malcom and Grant are $100 each, and this set is a part out ( sold by piece) what do you guys think each set will cost? Also, Chronicle announced Friday that they are going to be an official distributor for Iron Studios JP line.

I hope they make this somewhat affordable by breaking the diorama down in sections for sale. I think a long run of releases to build this would be fun, and I’m hopeful that Chronicle will offer payment plans like they do for their products.

You aren't saying that this is ONLY sold piece by piece are you? I thought I remember hearing you could buy each piece or the whole set.

I just found the post I was thinking about in SF. Pieces will be sold individually, but the whole diorama will be split up into a set A and a set B (as per Iron Studios Instagram post).

From Instagram

Dear Iron Studios fans the Jurassic Park Art Scale 1/10 ll be sold in separated parts,
Iron Studios is now making new progress at the T-REX and some parts of the car to make it more accurate to the movie, as soon if get finished we ll release the Official photos and the regions that this ll be avaiable:

-Ian Malcon Art Scale 1/10 SRP
US$ 89,99
-Alan Grant Art Scale 1/10SRP
US$ 89,99
-T-Rex Art Scale 1/10 + custom base ( not show yet ) SRP
US$ 649,99
- Car - Jungle Explorer Art Scale 1/10 custom base ( not show yet ) SRP
US$ 649,99

- SET A ( Left Base, Left Back Base + Fence and Plants, Car, Tim & Alex, T-REX )
SRP US$ 1.199,99
- SET B ( Middle and Right Base, Middle and Right Back Base + Fence and Plants, Car, Alan Grant, Ian Malcon )
SRP US$ 1.199,99

So $649 is Rex and the car right? Plus Tim and Alex?

I assume the background is only a part of the Side A/B for $1,199?

Based on the chart, you can buy the rex alone with its own special base (different from the dio base) for $649. You can also buy the vehicles separately for $649 with their own special base. If you were asking if you get both the rex and the Explorer for $649, absolutely not.

If the custom Rex base has no visible JP branding (wishful thinking) I'll be getting it. Otherwise I'll be passing on everything.

I'm working on this trex
I sent a message to iron studios to see if they are interested in the :

Really amazing effort on the body, but i think i like the IS head more. If anything for a perfect match they should shape her head around this:

But it’s probably too late, maybe for a Gennaro on toilet diorama.. or every other CG T-rex scene.

I hope not, that bust looks terrible.
It’s exactly the JP T-rex. Like, literally, and since the animatronic only appear in one T-rex set-piece over four, the ILM model is the most screen accurate shape you could wish. I’m just talking about the shape, skin textures is of course manteined from the IS model but it’s not hard to do at all in Zbrush.
Pair this with the spot on color scheme and insane detail of IS piece an you have the screen accurate T-rex in whatever diorama and pose you want.

Man i love the T-rex in the bottom shots. Rex based on CG model in that pose in diorama form would be a grail for me.

Sure, the overall shape is there, but that piece is rough. Would take a lot to clean it up. If they can get the CGI files and reprint on a better printer that would help a lot. That render looks better than the bust to me.

Dude, i’m talking about deform the current model shape to match those curves, for every pic that i’ve posted. And there you go, you have a screen accurate shaped head.
There’s no need to even own the bust, pictures would be enough and it’s a two days job when you already have a detailed model.
